Sometime in the 4th quarter, you must have had that sinking feeling similar to the Tyree catch in SB42. Was it Brady's INT? Welker's drop? Branch's drop? Manningham's catch?

Maybe I am more negative, but I was convinced we'd lose on the interception. It wasn't necessarily the situation that it put us in, but I could just tell from the look in the Giants' eyes that they knew they were going to win the game. After that, all of the dropped passes, blown opportunities, etc., seemed to be logical and not surprising- I was so convinced we weren't winning that all of the drops and the Manningham play seemed like they were destined to happen.

After Brady's safety on the first play, I thought we were in big trouble; I didn't feel like we'd win until the TD in 3rd quarter put us up 17-9, but I was NEVER more confident than when we twice held the Giants to field goals, which made it 17-15. I thought there's a 99% chance we won at that point, as the defense stepped up huge. That INT just killed us. I'm the biggest Brady fan, but sorry, that was the killer.

I think what made me realize we'd lose was that was basically the ONLY intercept-able ball thrown all game from Brady, while Manning threw into coverage all game long. Being -1 in turnovers despite forcing fumbles and being in passing lanes all day was too much to overcome.

I didn't like the Pats chances coming into this game, after the safety, I just knew it wasn't going to happen. I kept hoping, but I knew deep down, it wasn't going to happen last night.

For me it was a combination between the Welker drop and the Manningham reception. After the 9-0 lead people thought it was going to be a blowout, but the Pats scored 17 straight. They were one more big play from winning. They had the Giants on their heels, but they couldn't put it away.

The Welker drop hurt, but Manningham's catch is when I really felt it...

I didn't get the sinking feeling until the Hernandez drop. I thought we had a very good chance to go down the field and put up a TD to win the game.

    Two key plays:
Interception ... I thought. Uh Uh... This is the same mistake Brady made in Ravens game. Why no patience? Just keep moving the chains. Kill the clock. Don't go for HR. He didn't learn from Raven Game.

Third Fumble recovery by Giants: I told the guy sitting next to me. This is a bad omen. Looks like luck is on their side today not our side. Think about it. We recover fumble nullified by penalty. The next two fumbles were recovered by them. What are the chances?

Still... we had chances after that. Brady of Welker (50-50 fault) Pass. Brady to Branch Pass ... But football Gods were on their side yesterday.

Letting Bradshaw score gave us a slim shot..Bradshaw was a dope to not fall on the 1...but I guess he wasn't even told to by the coaches, just Eli yelling during the play. Bad coaching by the Giants, genius by BB

I think if most of us were truly honest with ourselves, this would be the answer.

Welker drop. I couldn't believe it was going to come down to the same finish as last time.

That said I had a lot of hope when we converted on 4th down and drove to midfield. After the 12 men penalty I knew it was going to be a decision from upstairs.

He had to do it. Gronk is 6'7" and could certainly go up for that ball. Secondly, he had to loosen up the secondary as they were squatting on all of the underneath routes. That's why a WR is definitely a need going into this offseason.

I KNEW we weren't going to score if we got the ball back. I thought we had a better chance of the Giants screwing up. I know people will laugh, but I'd take the odds of a missed 27 yard field goal under that pressure over a 30-50 yard laser into the endzone, which we knew was the best case scenario in getting the ball back.

I also was surprised that Edelman (or was it Woodhead) didn't try to run it out of the endzone on that kick. Risk:reward factor says run it out. Would have run maybe five seconds off the clock maximum, but obviously the reward is a game winner.

I felt going in we would win, my prediction was 34-20, well the D gave up 2 TD's and 2 FG's.

I was concerned after the hit on Brady, When he threw the INT I thought Oh No....the missed connection with Welker is when I thought they would lose.

I KNEW it was over on the first play of the last drive when the connection with Branch was missed. Branch could make the catch but the ball was thrown way behind him, if he had been hit in stride we would have been well past mid field with ~45 sec on the clock, enough time to win the game after that miss I thought it wouldn't happen.
