No surprise. Would expect Edelman to be added to this list at some point.

    #24 Jersey

I don't, he's been practicing for two days and running for a couple of days before that. I expect Tate to be the #3 WR but I expect Edelman to be returning punts.

If he isn't well enough to play #3 receiver why have him out there for punts?

I'd rather have Welker or Tate out there returning punts than him if he isn't well enough to play receiver.

Three of the four games, Edelman handled them the first game and Price has handled them all four games with the 2nd/3rd/4th stringers.

Would you rather it be the rookie Price?

    #24 Jersey

Because it lightens the load on them all, Edelman works back by just returning punts and Welker can just be a WR. And I think Tate is probably the #3 WR over Edelman right now anyway.

    #24 Jersey

Well, we'll see, Edelman has been out so there's another reason he hasn't been returning punts.

    #24 Jersey

Given that the other option is Wilhite, cutting Wheatley now wouldn't make any sense.

Well, he was injured early on in the second game. . . .

    #24 Jersey

Which was generally my point, he had an explosive return in game one then got hurt. I may be wrong, I often am, but I am assuming Edelman is out top punt returner with Welker and Tate playing WR and Tate also returning kickoffs in combination with others like McCourty. I was on the "Welker will be back for game one" bandwagon but I doubt he'll be a full time WR and PR right off the bat.

Welker damn better be retired from PR duty! He is abused often enough. I do not want to ever see him there again. We have plenty of other candidates.

Id hate to see them give up on him just yet, hes a very intelligent dude and if he stays healthy we could have something there.

With Bodden out for the season, we will need to count on Wilhite and Wheatley. Arrington is on the team to play special teams.

...none of which have the extensive experience back there as Welker.

IF Edelman can't go and if Tate stinks at doing it(yes, that is a possibility) I highly doubt BB goes with anyone else but Welker back there despite the injury concerns.

BB won't hamper the team just because there is the chance Welker might get hurt- if Welker is the best option back there to return punts he will not hesitate to use him.

God, I hope we Cunningham starting. The other options arent very appealing, and if he's in, at least we know BB prefers him as an option.

    #12 Jersey

Very disappointed seeing Wheatley out again, he is definitely needed this year. CB was once a surplus almost now it's becoming a weakness. Despite the expectations for Butler/McCourty, we don't have a proven quality starter at CB currently. And behind them is Wilhite and Arrington. Bleh
