Another non-partisan thread. In other words, if you were choosing which 2 teams (1 D and 1 R) had the best chance to win, who would you pick?

What would make the best contest, i.e., what would be the Pats-Colts game? In other words, for each party, which are the strongest teams.

I think a Hillary-Obama ticket be very strong, since it would likely lead to a larger than normal turnout by minorities and women. Hillary is the better presidential candidate because she could subtly market her husband (who, like it or not, is quite popular among independents and moderate Republicans) and I think some right-wingers will go overboard attacking her, which will backfire.

On the Republican side it's trickier. I went with Giuliani and McCain because both of them project a forward image, something that a Hillary-Obama ticket would also project. Romney, I think, would be an ideal candidate in a period when we don't want change, but he comes across as too flat and old-fashioned to succeed this time around. I think Giuliani is a better Presidential candidate than McCain simply because McCain is a little too old and a lot of people don't trust him.

Which ticket would win? I think the Democrats, because the Dems will make sure that Giuliani's acts as a husband and father, his drag appearance, and some of the enemies he's created among groups like firefighters hurt him. Hillary will be able to write off the left wing of the Dems and constantly reach out to the center, while Giuliani, given his personal family values, will have to continually woo the right.

Minorities and Women tend to be "Bigoted" they vote based on skin color and gender, it's a form of Racism & Chauvanisim but it is being commited by Minorities & Women so it isn't considered Bigotry by the politically correct.

    The double standard again

No different than white men. Did you ever notice how few women and minorities have ever been in positions of authority, even to this day? I guess it's just a part of human nature. Any idea why there are no black and women national candidates in the Republican Party?

Hillary / Obama vs Guiliani / Romney... although Huccabee would be a good one.

I don't like Huckabee, but I honestly don't know why he's not getting more traction. Of all the candidates, I think his views best align with the conservatives in this forum, and he's relatively youthful.
