What the Patriots Must Do Differently in Week 15 to Defeat the Miami Dolphins

Derek Havens

When the New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins in week one, they found themselves in an unfamiliar position. Last place in the AFC East, with the other three division teams all winning. Now it's week 15, the Patriots lead the AFC East with a con

What they must do?

The only reason the Pats were winning that game was Miami turnovers. I'm pretty sure Miami didn't punt until the game was already out of reach for the Pats. The Pats never got Miami off the field! Tannehill looked like Brady, hitting short passes after short passes. The Pats were so out played it wasn't funny. The only reason the game was as close as it was, was the Miami turnovers in the first half. The Pats turnovers in the second half clearly didn't help their cause, but they just couldn't stop Miami's offense!

The Pats need to get Miami off the field, they need to stop them on third down. Miami did nothing tricky or unique, they simply outplayed the Pats, all day long.

Our defense and offense( ol to be specific) with all the changes was finding itself and the heat didn't help matters. Miami is getting the work Sunday if this team is locked in.

I commend the effort, but NE is so different now that you might as well ask, "what must they do differently than the last time they lost to Miami in Foxboro?"

They definitely need to start by scoring more points then the dolphins, and then once they have done that they need to prevent the dolphins from scoring more points then themselves.

Stop the run to keep them out of 3rd and short. Run the ball to open up play action. Don't turn the ball over.

They don't have to do anything different than week one. Knowshon Moreno is out for the season.

They have to play better than the dolphins in all three phases.
