One I see falling is Bledsoe's team mark for passing yards. Brady trails by 3287 and if healthy all year should easily break it. He already owns the team mark for TD passes.

If Brady wins 3 more playoff games I beleive he will break Montana's record of 16. (I searched and couldn't find anyone with more).

I also came across this list with a decidedly Patriot flavor, with 8 out of the top 11 getting the majority of their playoff appearances with NE.

If Brushci appears in 3 more he will be in the top 6 all-time. Makes me proud to be a fan of this franchise when looking at these lists.

    ALL TIME:
    ACTIVE PLAYERS:

So who (pats) besides TB can or will exceed Jerry Rice?

AV has a shot; albeit with dolts based on kicker longevity. I dont see faulk still playing at 34. Troy Brown is esentially retired now.

Can Izzo and Tedy both play 3 more years (at high enough level to stay on a deep Pats roster) and Pats make it to AFCCG at least for 3 more years? I suspect age catches Izzo in his ST role - younger players will displace him. And Tedy at some point is going to have taken too much pounding inside.

Correct. I think it would be hard to argue the Patriots are not a dynasty when Tom and BB finally hang it up and the playoff appearance list is littered with Patriots.

If Brady can break Rice's mark I think Light, Seymour and Warren will be among the top 10.

When all is said and done I think there will be many more HOF introductions to watch than people expect from this era of Patriot dominance.

If Faulk could hang around for this year and next he might have a shot at Stanley Morgan's All-Purpose yards mark of 11,832. Troy brown is second with 11,031 while Faulk is 3rd with 10,168.

APYDS consist of running attempts, receptions, punt and kick returns. Last year Faulk compiled 695. It's an outside shot for next year, but it definately highlights his importance to this club for the last decade.

Hmm....I count 3, including Moss, which may or may not qualify as Patriot's dynasty depending on how many wins they get in the next 3 yrs. Maybe in 5 years we throw in Mankins and Warren and Wilfork.

According to this page that showed up during a google search, you're correct.

If the record-breaker occurrs in the SB, then that's all the broken records I need.

Is 4 SB Championships in 8 years a record?

I really thought that I would never see last year's record surpassed, but I do believe that we are going to witness a record of epic proportions this year.

I thought that the espn record for beating-a-dead-horse of a story would never be broken in my lifetime, but it does appear that the Life and Times of Brett Favre has a very good chance of obliterating the number of stories written that offer no new information, twist rumors into facts, create breaking stories on other's rumors, and rehash old (lack of) information.

The Favre saga has a two month head start on camera gate and the Packers have a legitimate chance of making the playoffs in the NFC, even with a new QB.

My only question is, what are espn and the nfl going to do for an encore next year to keep 'fans' focused on issues that aren't as interesting as analyzing the next, or previous game?

I think Willie Mac, Law, Vinatieri and Bruschi will get serious consideration. I assume your 3 are Moss, Brady and Belichick. Don't forget about Kraft, he could get in too.

I think we have 4 HOF'ers right now - Brady, Randy, Kraft and Bill. However, not sure what Team Randy will "claim" when he goes in - He's got records with The Vikes and Us, but if he gets a SB (and I'm sure he will) then I would guess he'll be a Patriot. Too much speculation right now.

Other than that, you can make good arguement for Adam V., however I'm not sure who will claim him at the end of his career.

After that, you can look at some O Line guys getting in, perhaps D-Line guy like Wilfork if he kills it over the next 5-10 years with plenty of Pro-Bowls, etc etc.

Obviously if Wes keeps up what he did in '07 he'd be considered, but he'll be going up against some pretty good WR's and he's a slot guy, so who knows.

Records are nice but I want a championship this year. I can't wait for this season to start.

How about the greatest LS in history Lonie Paxton? Kidding aside it may take a # of years of elegibility but some of the afformentioned guys may get their due. I wouldn't lock yourself into just those 4 just yet.

if they're looking for records i don't see a championship coming. i think that was part of the problem trying to break records. the most glaring was in the giants game week 17 and forcing throws

The next championship means records. We won in week 17 against the Giants starters the entire game. NY was already in and so were we. That was a pride game that came back to haunt us.

The hunger is still there and I see a championship coming. We're due. Open up the record books.

I don't agree with that. Take for example week 17 when brady kept trying to get moss that td. he kept throwing bombs. that doesn't help the offense or help win the game and they paid for it in the SB.

If we win the SB this year with Tom Brady as our QB he will automatically own the all-time record for playoff games won by a QB. He will also surpass Drew Bledsoe's team record mark of 29,657 passing yards late in the season if he remains healthy.

Success brings records. If you want to focus on week 17 and the SB then so be it. I beleive our team is damn good and ready to make another run at a championship.

If you think this team is going to go out and play all 19 games like the only 2 games you've mentioned than that's your opinion. I think otherwise.

and i'll go back to my original statement of "it depends if the records come or if they start chasing them"

if you don't think they were chasing records last year you gotta be kidding me. moss 5 tds in a half? run up the score on the redskins?

    losing brings records too.

and i'll focus on the entire season. how come they never developed younger players more? they ran up scores
