BB is a historian of the game and we've seen him call various plays throughout his tenure here just as tribute. What plays do you think could be called in this game?

Another dropkick? A Brady punt, like Cassel's? What other interesting plays are there?

The Cassel punt—on third down, no less—was absolute genius, but it wasn't just for the heck of it: it was a brilliant strategy for dealing with ridiculous weather conditions.

I predict a pass from Julian Edelman on a gadget play. Didn't he used to play QB at Kent state?

Hopefully Brady's INT free streak remains intact though. *knocks on wood*

One of the things I will remember about the 2008 season!

I don't know why, but it just sticks there!

Hope so too. DO you think Edelman might get to run some wildcat? Give the fins a taste of their own medicine.

That would be pretty funny. But I haven't seen the Pats utilize the wildcat yet although you'd think Edelman would be suitable. Perhaps it's because Edelman is more of a pass catcher than a RB/QB type?

I'd like to see Woodhead run he wildcat. Have him back there next to Brady and get the direct snap and either pass or run. Give our next opponent something to have to plan for.

Big Vince will take a goal line shotgun snap and hit Seabass (tackle eligible) in the corner of the endzone for a 2 pt. conversion to put the Pats up 22-0 in the 1st qtr. BB proceeds to moonwalk down the sideline where he belly bumps Big Vince.

He kicked one for Miami as a rookie. It'd be funny to see him kick one against them too.

My sense is the Pats are more serious/determined this year and won't try anything out if the ordinary.

Yeah. This team isn't about the past.

Plus, there's that low team TO total to think about. Don't mess with that due to a gimmick play ...

I don't think they'll waste any of their gimmick players in a meaninless game.

If there's anything like that for Edelman, I'd like for them to save it for the playoffs, no need to tip off the Pats next opponent.

If that actually happened, BB would be found in Cocassett Lake.

Historical plays? I'll be content with a workmanlike victory where a team maintains focus and no players are injured.

Every play that comprises a championship season becomes historic.

    No Jersey Selected

You mean we line up like going for it on 4th and 17. Brady in the shotgun. Welker motions to be hind him and the Brady kneels. That would be hilarious but expect lots of pissed off Dolphins.

Although if someone can drop kick a FG...:D

One thing to consider, it might be too crazy to do in a game that matters anyway.

So you give the opponent film of you doing something you'd never do in a game that counts against a better team than the Dolphins.

Up 45 to nothing and winning the time of possession battle 37 min so 6 mins, BB punts on first down to give the defense some more reps.

Is BB literally gonna be the one punting? That'd be pretty historic and i'd love to see it.
