Finally get tax returns from John McCain, but -- they are only from 2006 and 2007 and they don't reflect his wife's money without which he wouldn't have a political career. What is McCain afraid of us finding!

Republicans made a big deal about John Kerry not releasing tax information about HIS wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry. Yet, it seems now that the shoe is on the other foot, it is ok not to release the same thing they made a big deal about in 2004. Hypocrites of the highest kind.

    From NBC's Domenico Montanaro

McCain released his tax returns today. They include 2006 and 2007 and nothing previously. In addition, no returns or summaries are included for wife Cindy McCain, who heads a privately held beer distribution company. Also note, John and Cindy McCain have filed separate tax returns for every year of their marriage except their first year, 27 years ago. On questions of transparency, the McCain campaign points out that the Arizona senator has filed financial disclosures while he has been in public life. The campaign cites Teresa Heinz Kerry, John Kerry's wife, as precedent for not releasing Cindy McCain's returns -- even though Heinz Kerry loaned money to her husband's campaign.
But Clinton and Obama have both released their tax returns dating back to 2000 (Clinton released a summary for 2007, but not the full return yet), and Clinton further back than that, since the days her husband was governor of Arkansas in the 1980s. Additionally, the Clinton campaign has recently called on Obama to release his tax returns from 1997 to 1999 when he was an Illinois state senator.

    Obama, Hillary, Mccain:
Put the three of them on a barge, tow the barge out to sea, then let the US Navy use them for "target practice"

If these three {Politician Bastards} are the best we can come up with we are in big trouble.

JMac and his wife have always filed separately. It's because of the pre-nup HE had to sign when he married her. All the money is hers.

The bigger question is: who cares?

It's crap like this that makes qualified people not want to run, so we wind up with a slate of retards.

I don't think it is a case of her filing separately that is the problem. It is more a case of the hypocrisy of the republicans when it comes to elections.

Four years ago they were all over Teresa Heinz Kerry for not releasing her tax report but yet, it is ok for Cindy McCain to do the same thing.

Sure most of them file separately but as I said what is good for the gander apparently is not good for the goose in republican lingo.

Not seeing the issue. 4 years ago the Republicans whined and moaned, because it gave them an advantage.
Now Democrats get to whine and moan.

It's called playing the game. Just like HRC demanding Obama release his returns from 10-12 years ago.
