Can't be as bad as what it was in Detroit yesterday. Steelers might of well been playing a home game. Shame on the Lions fans...

Re: What is going on here?

How many tickets are usually available on Ticket Exchange over the last ten or so home games? How many tickets have been available for the 31 other NFL teams this season? How many season ticket holders plan to sell tickets to some games before the season even begins in order to keep their costs down? How many more are doing that this year due to the economy, smaller paychecks, etc.? How many are selling tickets to this game because the Titans are not a division rival, are not very good and have no star-power to generate interest?

As for those that are selling tickets simply because they're jumping off the bandwagon, do we really want them representing Pats fans at the stadium next Sunday anyways? Isn't everyone better off if they stay home and are replaced by somebody who really wants to be there and will appreciate the game day experience?

I would think the Titans are a big part of it.

When the Pats started this program back in '05 or '06 it was next to impossible to find tix. I started this thread because I was very surprised there would be this many tix available barely 24 hours after a game.

BTW: There are over 350 tix available as I type this.

How does the ticket exchange work anyway? Can anybody sign up for the program? I'd like to get to a game next year and this might be a little bit cheaper...

If only Rey Maualuga were here, we'd sell out in the first 3/4's of a second that tickets go on sale.

All I know is if some drunk obnoxious asses end up in the seats near us, I'm not gonna hesitate to get them tossed.

Me and my GF put our 2 up against Baltimore only because we had to help shoot a wedding in Newport. We got to catch the end of the 1st half on the radio and the 2nd half on TV.

Times are tough. And buying the tix is only part of the cost. There's still getting to Gillette, paying for parking, you're there for 4+ hours you're going to eat etc. It may be fun but, it's expensive.

0.5% of all tickets being available for a game against an 0-5 team while the Pats are not playing particularly well doesn't seem too bad to me.

Re: What is going on here?

I understand your point but as of today there are over 720 tickets available on the Exchange and another 300 on StubHub. I have never seen this many tickets available on a Wednesday in Week 6.

There are 68,000 seats at Gillette. 8,000 of those are the dreaded Red/Club Seats so they can't be sold on the Exchange. We are looking at 1,000 tickets available for 60,000 seats.

I urge waiting list members to grab tickets as they are available in all price ranges.

BTW: The Jets are doing much, much worse than the Pats when it comes to ticket sales. At least the Pats have sold out for the season.

http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/misc_splash_2 That is sad on so many levels.

Re: What is going on here?

The ticket market for both the Red Sox and Patriots has gone down significantly as of late. I know the economy is tough, but I think there is also an overall malaise taking over our local sports scene. When you've won 6 Championships this decade, it's tough to get excited over non-championship seasons. Similar thing happened to the Bills when their great run of the 90's was over (although they never actually won the big one).

Re: What is going on here?

The Bills are not a good example as they have some of the cheapest tickets in the League. Back in the early 90's sideline tix were probably $30 for the Bills.

Is there some apathy for the Pats? Probably, but it doesn't explain the amount of tickets available right now.

We unfortunately have one of the biggest collections of fair-weather following fans in the NFL. I always assumed this was common knowledge.

If I lived up there, I would drive myself broke due to purchasing season tickets. I don't understand this. We have a good team that's due to bounce back, yet because the team is 3-2, people aren't going? Jesus.

Yes, there is a fee ($100 or $200 per seat? I forget) but you'd probably make it back the first or second time you bought tix from the ticketexchange at face value rather than stubhub prices.
