Unlike Donovan McNabb and the Iggles OC, Cassel and McDaniels know that a punishing time-sucking ground attack doesn't work so well when you're trailing late by two scores.
I think it was more of the Pats being down by so much and not having to run the ball. Faulk can obviously catch/block better than Green-Ellis which is why he played more.
