Now that our gov't has decided Americans have an inherent right to health care, what else will be added to the list of rights?

Next, it will be decided that ALL Americans have an inherent right to a job, a house of their own and.....shall we throw in a BRAND NEW CAR!!!?:D

Next up, everyone is entitled to work no matter how incompetent or unemployable.

    Then everyone gets food...

Glen Beck had it right when he noted the more than coincidental similarities between the claims of the left and the "rights" of the communist USSR.

I do actually believe that everyone does have a right to health care. But my observations of THIS congress (not Obama) are that some of these loons (Pelosi, Frank & Reid) might seguay into "Jobs, Food and homes for everyone!" insanity.

Does ANYONE here believe that Americans all deserve "Jobs, Food & a Home"? C'mon, don't be shy, step up and speak your peace is you have the nads. I guess we do already provide food for anyone and maybe even that's ok...but certainly not jobs or homes.

I prefer a law that says, "If you are able to work, you MUST work"....as long as there are jobs out there!

The problem is we have too much healthcare.

Would I be OK with a fund to treat a life threatening emergency for someone with no money ? Yes.

But "healthcare" encompasses too much. Teeth cleanings when you can do it yourself. Blood pressure and cholesterol pills when you can take a nightly walk. I could go on and on, there is too much "healthcare" and not enough "caring for your health".

I'll buy that BF. Health "care" is one thing, expecting to be "taken care of" is quite another.

Ok, how bout we pass a bill for the inherent right to a lifetime of toothbrushes & toothpaste? And if you don't use it, you go to jail?

    hehehehehe

Personal windmills fully sponsored by our grand childrens children. These windmills will allow us to generate our own power to help us charge up our government mandated electric cars. With these electric cars we can drive down to Walmart so we can stock up on as much cheap crap made in China as possible. Once done with our disposable yet cheap crap we can put it in garbage bags and ship it to an offshore island made of pure garbage. Until the island gets too full and we all find ourselves unwittingly down wind. So from there with our windmills constantly regurgitating the stench from our man made island of trash. We will all be forced to head back into Walmart to purchase as many air fresheners as possible for both our homes and our electric cars. From that point on once we all wreak of pine sol and glade plug ins there will be nothing left for us to do except demand from our Government that they provide us with one last inalienable right. A single bullet, tax deferred of course and made in China always.......

Won't be long before we all get issued an apartment or house.

Not long before we worship the state ... it's coming.

It should be stated that Democrats are far, far more ideologically diverse than Republicans. And it ain't even close.

ideologically ... is that supposed to be a good thing?

Barack is ideologically diverse also ... he's lobbing missles now ... he's trying to be very diverse.

We have the right to an education, the right to clean air, the right to safe foods, the right to safe drugs, the right to good roads, the right to safe products, the right to use the American court system, the right to a secure currency, the right to clean water, and I'm sure there are many others, all of which we pay for through our taxes. I gather your post is singling out health care as a right; I personally would rather have my taxes pay for health care than for roads. Let's have the auto drivers (which includes me) fund all the highways, roads, and their maintenance. How come you object to health care as a right?
