Non Farm payroll was supposed to up >520k jobs due to the gov hiring > 500k census workers for the next few months. This is very bad the economy is still bleeding jobs.

574k census temps were in the non farm payroll report, SO if the job 'gains' were 431k, the 'real' number is 143 jobs lost, this for April when job numbers normally go up what a disaster the non farm payroll when the temps are let go should be a doozie.

Indeed. When do the census jobs end, is it August or before that?

I believe it is august. The 'real' economy is in a ditch, the Gulf oil spill exacerbates the situation.

    Got it, thanks :)

The real economy is definitely tanked. Well, unless you believe in jobless recoveries:bricks:.

I sure miss those Bush days when we were losing 600k jobs per month.

I'm surprised you didn't also manage to blame him for failing to discover a cure for cancer.

Thanks to the brilliant stimulus the unemployment rate won't exceed 8%.....oh wait......

When will the insane policies of the administration produce the results they predicted....NEVER.

When will this be Obama's economy?

Obama has taken a recession and is turning into a permanent crippled economy.

You're welcome to believe that. Doesn't make it true. In fact, I don't know any serious economists who believe that nonsense.

The guy has zero business, managerial, executive, or economic experience to speak of, so anyone expecting him to be an economic genius, should have had their head examined. That being said, I'm not sure we can really say that Obama is screwing something up, that wasn't in very good shape to begin with. I think he's made some poor choices, but it's not as if their was an "Easy" button type solution to our economic problems. Recoveries do take time, and each downturn presents it's own series of problems. I do think that his team/administration has (have) made moves that will prolong the time it takes to experience a more robust recovery. Too much spending, and too many bailouts, will mean a more stagnant, slow, and inconsistent climb back to the top. IMO anyway.

Jack, with all due respect, the dems have had control of both congress and the senate for almost 4 years now. Does any of the blame go to them?

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA who chose to keep drilling that well, after rubber chunks from the stopper came up the well.

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA who giot hookers and meth for regulaters, and wrote the energy policy behind closed doors.

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA the invaded Iraq.

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA that deregulated the investment banks.

I keep forgetting that OBAMA never got any form of healthcare reform through congress.

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA who tortured people.

I keep forgetting that it was OBAMA who created the "ownership society" and encouraged predatory lending.

    You people are frickin rediculous.

I will say that if I were him, I'd be about 3,000% more pi$$ed at BP (Although I respect the man and his response to you haters who say he isnt pi$$ed enough). I would've shut BP out weeks ago and taken over. HOWEVER, you righties would've screamed SOCIALISM!!! there really is no winning with you people. Obama is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesnt.

The OP actually points to "Health reform" and says Obama did nothing about it....WHAAAAAAT?

So you haters can circle-jurk all frickin day about how Obama is "screwing up", but I cant imagine how f-ed up things would be if Big-Daddy McCain was elected, or if we still had Bush and Cheney running the nation into the stone age, and profiting from your suffering.

To the extent that they set monetary policy, sure.

The roots of this go far deeper than either Bush or Obama.
