I want to see Caldwell catch a pass on a five yard-in cut and juke Bullock out of his jock.

whoa dude--so far as I can tell, Blue is #2 behind Hobbs right now...Oh. I was commenting on the idea of Gay "showing why he was a starting CB" back when he actually, ya know, WAS a starting CB (during the 2004 Super Bowl run). My point being, Randall Gay has never "done" something to "show he's a starting CB," because his starts always came as a result of a bunch of injuries.
That said, I'm glad to hear he is healthy so far, and making a good showing this year. I just think there's a lot of "Gay started the Super Bowl!" bluster which is silly, in my mind, since that's only because of a rash of injuries at the position.

ah--I concur--let the kid earn that spot...and his tackling in PSG1 was certainly promising...
