Remember in 2008 when he lied about not being red states or blue states but being the united states ?

    Now we get this :

""we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.""

He's just a fake, a stupid prick that somehow fooled the people two years ago. He was supposed to be post racial and post partisan, he turns out to be the most racial and most partisan President in memory.

One of the slickest hucksters ever to come down the pike. My nickname for him: Smooth. The best public speaker I've ever seen. Probably the biggest liar I've ever seen, too.
"We need the bailout to increase liquidity."
"We have shovel ready projects ready to go that we will use bailout funds for."
"Illegal aliens won't get free health care."
    "There will be no amnesty."
    "We'll bring our boys home."

Here is my question- how can anyone like or defend this guy? There is nothing to like or defend about him. After GW Bush, I thought it couldn't get any worse. It has.

How do you measure how partisan he (or any President) is?

Many of his supporters are very unhappy with him for not doing enough. Wouldn't that indicate that he might actually be more moderate?

I haven't been impressed with him, but maybe not for the same reasons as you.

But I'd still gladly take him over either the opponent he beat, his predecessor or the 2 Dems who ran before him.

Republicans have tried to block and filibuster every single piece of legislation since 2008, and this includes even bills that moderate Republicans were on board with.

After 2 years, there's no point in pretending that the GOP wants to compromise whatsoever.

I was always called a "racist" for what millions & millions of Americans now see to be true, the man is a lying rotten president, he views himself as a Dictator, our country right now is in big trouble, I and many others never fell for that "beautiful smile sh!t"

The hypocrisy and silence of the Anti War Movement is what sickens me.

GET BUSH (thats all they were interested in)

When they're told they have to sit in the back why should they compromise ? If your wife talked to you like that would you want to work with her ? You'd probably want a divorce.

Obama: Fate of immigration reform hinges on election

    By Michael O'Brien - 10/25/10 12:27 PM ET

The fate of comprehensive immigration reform hinges in large part on Nov. 2's elections, President Obama said Monday in an appeal to Latino voters.

    ...............

"If the Latino community decides to sit out this election, then there will be fewer votes and it will be less likely to get done," Obama said on the "Piolín por la Mañana" program on Univision Radio.

    ..............

"And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.....

When did GWB tell any American that other Americans were their enemies based on politics (not on, ya know, being terrorists) or tell other Americans to sit in the back of the proverbial bus? There would have been impeachment hearings if he did.

That's just part of it ... they want to run my favorites out of the party ... the Blue Dogs ... they now see them as an obstacle also.

Epic Fail ... these blowhards are as bad and dangerous as the neo cons were. So full of themselves they can't help but to expose their prejudices.

NICE, now you're playing revisionist history? Where do you live, Texas where they distort truth in their textbooks?

Long before Obama ever made that comment, Republicans proved for 2 years they care far less about getting things done and more about partisan politics and blocking ANYTHING since 2008.

He didn't fool anyone. It's just that most voters aren't informed, saw a black man and thought "wow! If I vote for HIM, I'll be a free thinking cool guy, not a dirty racist like anyone voting against him!"

Neither side wants to compromise. Both sides are corrupt. Both sides will do anything to bring the power and money to their own side. Both sides could give a rat's ass about you or I. Red, Blue, doesn't matter. SSDD.

This isn't about "long before 2008", this is about what the obamaliar said and what he's turned out to be. I voted for Bush in 2000 but not in 2004 because I was willing to admit I was wrong just like PatriotsReign is now about the obamaliar. This isn't about Bush II or Clinton or Bush I this is about the obamaliar being a fake and his thinly veiled attempt to get sympathy along racial lines while stating he won't work with Republicans despite what he said two years ago.

    Liar, Liar, Obama on Fire.

For the record here. Obama did not run for President, Obama was chosen for President. He orated random stuff that got the dead electorate energized. Much as Bush got the dead conservative vote energized in the heartland. The fact is he was chosen because he was black, clean, and a great A+++ orator.

This guy is the latest Manchurian to hold office. Now that he sees he is being abandoned he is actually trying to be a real President. But he is trying by being his real self an ultra liberal loon rather than the puppet he pretended to be. But then Bush pretended to be a moderate also did he not and then he tried to be a real President did he not.

2 Liars who have exposed what lies at the heart of who really runs this country. The media, Corporate America, and the military people behind the scenes. It is embaressing watching a human try to be something that they thought they were. This did not start with Bush, or Reagan, or Nixon or Kennedy. It started with Truman and Eisenhower.

Exactly....you hit the nail on the head. The tea baggers suck ups have tried to shut everything down. I'm ambivalent towards BO, but i can see what has happened over the last two years. Shut government down and blame it on obama, the problem is most Americans are to busy trying to get themselves out of self inflicted debt to pay attention. They're to Poor to Pay Attention.

Right, and Democrats completely own the stimulus and healthcare. Democrats had historic majorities and did not need Republican votes, so they own all these failed policies 110%.

Meet the new people, same as the old people.

The people that these people replaced disconnected themselves from the mainstream, and acted as a political class, and not a class of the people. This group of rejects has done exactly the same. They are all disconnected ideologues that have little in common with the average american, and nothing in common with common sense. Meet the soon to be 27%'ers, same as the old 27%'ers.

Yeah but how much have they really shut down flex? We still have the stimulus bill, healthcare, the GM bailout, etc. All unpopular. Let's not forget that Pelosi and Reid won control of both houses in 2006 too. So the tenure for the democratic party is long enough to draw some conclusions I think, or levy a little blame.

One area where I believe the Democrats have fallen far short is messaging for their policies. For example, the stimulus and auto bailout were markedly successful. Fin reg and health care reform, still too early to tell.

Really, the genesis for the general malaise and discontent is the sluggish economy, and not the particulars of any policy the Democrats have managed to pass.
