Would you trade the #7 overall pick to Dallas for the #22 pick, their 3rd rounder, and Marion Barber?

    #24 Jersey

Maroney and Morris are fine. I don't get the fascination with Barber given our strength at RB.

what is the value of Dallas's picks? somebody must have that chart somewhere? Is Dallas the only team that we can reasonably work a deal with?

no id make Jerry Jones overpay for McFadden. 2 1sts and Barber otherwise we draft the best player in the draft and combo him with L-Money which would make our offense crazy sick.

Actually I would make that trade, however I seriously doubt Jerry Jones will part with Marion the Barbarian.

Too good to pass up the best player in the draft at #7. Im not fine with our run game like most of you all are.

Blame the offensive line since it fell completely apart in the Super Bowl.

    #12 Jersey

Someone said that the #7 pick was worth 1500 pts and 22+28 were worth 1440. Personally, I'm not a fan of those charts, though, and I don't think the Pats' FO is either.

our offensive line can be upgraded just like our RBs.

Personally, I would, to me Morris is JAG and Maroney still hasn't proven he can be the only guy and our late rounders often outperform our 1st rounders. I doubt, however, the FO will or would, even if the Cowboys would do it.

The problem I see is that would leave us with only Maroney as possible trade bait imho.
Morris wouldn't fetch much considering he ended on IR, I'd imagine that would be a situation like Colvin, where he holds no value.
Faulk's our 3rd down, do everything back.

So we'd have Maroney, Barber, Morris, & Faulk... kinda crowded, and doesn't fill the needs we have.

The charts are, at best, just a rule of thumb. Everyone knows that different drafts differ in quality. They also differ in how that quality is structured. Some have a number of potentially great players with slim pickings afterward; others are sparse at the top but have a large "middle class."

Say hello to Barber, say goodbye to Morris!

How about Bobby Carpenter somehow being involved in that deal?

Okay, no, this idea could work. Sure why not.

A team with a perfectly good and improving running game gives up the number seven pick. Meanwhile, Dallas gives them back almost all the trade value in picks, then gives them a draftee who has proven his value!

What a great idea! A lose-lose trade! I had no idea it could be done so elegantly! I mean, a win-win is tough enough to pull off, but this is positively brilliant!

Does Dallas have a #2? Make it a #2 instead of a #3 and the deal is done.

That is kinda what I was thinking as well....but there is one hitch, I dont think Barber is the type to take a home-town discount and we would lose him next year. I dont like renting players(but if you are going to do it he is the PERFECT player), both first is CLOSE ENOUGH in value. To all the guys saying we need more than 2 firsts, SHAME ON YOU. We are almost begging to trade back, its ok if we "lose" in the trade, the guy wont make our team anyways! If you play hard ball with the only team with the picks we want,,,,doesnt make too much sense. Roll the dice, here comes Gholston!

    #75 Jersey

Why would we give away draft picks to trade for what could arguably be the strongest position on the team.

We have quality, speed, power and depth with Maroney and Morris.

Can you say that about CB and LB?

when i look at our cb and lb situation....

i see the rb situation be a non-issue....

if BB likes carpenter, then dallas two number 1's and bobby for our 7....i would do it immedeatly
