Okayyyyy.
If I called in to WFAN and said maybe Brady sold his soul to the devil, the one with the pitchfork and horns, not Belichick, does someone have to prove he did not?
We have about the same level of evidence for the idea, slim to none.
Let's recap, despite the lack of a burden of proof. Facts in favor of hypothesis:
- he put on some weight. One guy here says it was all in one offseason. Others say over 7 years.
- He started out incredibly skinny
Mitigating factors:
- No proof or belief that he did, other than he put on some weight
- As skinny as he started out, an alternate explanation to anyone who has the remotest casual interest in morphology would be that his body was at the beginning, rather than completion, of the maturation curve. He wasn't grown up yet. People do this at different times, with even early bloomers putting a good deal on in their early 20s.
- He regularly wins the Pats' little informal who-works-out-the-most contest that results in the workout warrior parking spot. That's against gigantic linemen, psycho linebackers and safeties, etc.
- Pregnant supermodels
- A personality that has never in any public setting -- and he puts himself in plenty of them -- seems irritated or angry
- poise on and off the field suggests behavioral effects of supposed roid use are negligible
- No preternatural muscle bulk... did he just juice up "a little" or something?
