Whatever happens, at least Welker is back.
eerie..but all I can think is Welker is Pedroia..anyone else see this??
But he's not back quite yet, is he?
Heh -- good comparison. Welker is 5-9, 185; Pedroia 5-9 180. Beyond that (and hairlines) they're both the catalysts for their teams. Welker's 2009 was just amazing -- 123 catches, and I believe he missed three games (I'm counting Houston).
In a way, I hope he doesn't catch quite that many passes this year (but plays a full season!), because that would be a sign of a more diverse offense.
What the hell is a Pedroia? Some obscure baseball reference?
My bet is it's a Tolkein Middle Earth character reference.
Regarding the start of training camp .... I'm listening to PFW right now, and they mentioned that Derrick Burgess was notable in his absence. The guts said they have no idea why, he was not on any lists. Kind of odd considering Crable was just let go.
They also mentioned that among those that remained on the sidelines were Ron Brace, Sam Aiken and Darnell Jenkins. I'm not sure if that means they did not pass their conditioning test, or if that has nothing to do with it.
One second please...did I just hear Mike Lombardi say Welker is expected to be back the third PRESEASON game, and should be ready to start against Cinci, Week 1?????

Most of us thought that Welker returning mid-season would mean he is bionic...but WEEK FRIGGIN 1???!!?!??
