I think it's pretty open and shut that the best receiving duo in the NFL are Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Below are their stats and the category they lead in is bold:

Whats really scary is that Welker missed 2 games and Moss has basically played with a bad back all season, which is kryptonite for a vertical speed receiver. Not to mention #12 has been playing at about 60% all season as well.

    #87 Jersey

Which is why a decent 3rd receiver would do amazing here. Golden Tate 10'.

Does anyone know what duo of receivers leads the league in those three combined stats?

    Combined Moss & Welker -

    200 Rec
    2525 Yds
    17 TD's

I would take these two as well, though Arizona's duo looks mighty fine.

I am now a huge Reggie Wayne fan after watching him closely against Revis last night. I doubt Peter King watched the game because Wayne turned Revis inside out, and he did a lot of little things that left a great impression.

WR/TE tandem would be Wayne and Clark, if you ask me.

Jackson and Gates in SD would be close but I'd go with Wayne because he is money.

The Tate we already have looked promising until the injury.

    Boldin and Fitz

    175 Rec
    2054 yards
    16 TDs

    Clark and Wayne

    188 Rec
    2297 yards
    20 TDs

Moss and Welker probably the overall best duo in the league

For sure, you can argue with fitz and aquan, or holmes and Ward, but I would take moss and wes everyday

What makes them the best is not only the numbers, but how complimentary they are. Wes is the possession receiver, and with Moss' bad back, is the primary target for moving the chains. Moss is the scoring threat and the homerun threat that stretches the field for Wes. So it's a perfect fit.

You are thinking of Terrence Nunn.

Joey Galloway was supposed to be this teams #3 receiver but well, **** happens. Brandon Tate does have potential but he needs to get healthy that's all. I hope he does because he was a beast in college.

No sense wasting a high pick on a WR this year. I love Golden Tate but not for this team and Dez Bryant? Mike Williams says hello. Develop the WRs you have now (Edelman, Tate) and in 2011 with the Raiders 1st round pick, we go after Julio Jones.

Tate and Edelman I think can develop into quality #3 receivers. Tate similar to Moss in his play making while Edelman is like Welker in the slot

It's pretty amazing, given all the flak Moss has taken this season for being "soft" and not giving full effort, that we're still talking about a player who leads the NFL in touchdown receptions, is 13th in overall receptions, and sixth in overall yards. If he had had a few better games, we'd be talking about someone who was a strong threat to be the yardage leader in the NFL this season.

Right now there is no more productive receiving tandem in terms of yardage and receptions--or getting those all important first downs (128). [For what it's worth, Wayne and Clark have 127.]

I have very high hopes for edelman and tate, injuries have stopped us from seeing all they can be, damn I tell you I think they have done a great job for the most part in drafting the last several years but I'm starting to think their draft table doubles as a triage

they should go after a young speedster like Bethel Johnson out of Texas A&M or maybe a Florida burner by Chad Jackson.

Speed is everything at wide out, right?

Only kidding, I think the young guys on IR and down the ranks will between the 3 of them develop into one solid #3 starter next year.
