I call it "A little something for everyone". Not what I think they will do, but a fun offseason never the less. This is they really go for it, realizing that Brady is not getting younger and 2011 may be a lockout the go for broke.

I seriously think that those picks would be too much. I would consider us just trading our 2010 or 2011 2nd round picks & Vince Wilfork for Denver's 2010 picks 10 & 74. I would love the oveall draft better, just like that. A 2011 1st roundpck would be too much when we're trading the best & young NT in the league

Maybe but the 2011 pick is devalued for two reasons:
1) It is a year away, picks the following year are not worth as much as picks in this years draft.
2) 2011 may be a lockout year making the draft even riskier

One the other hand maybe the Raiders lose every game and a new CBA is reached with slotted draft pick salaries. But that doesn't help my argument so lets pretend that this scenario doesn't exist.

Lol yeh it just proves my arguement even more. Why risk a 1st round pick when we could give up a lower pick. We could possibly get an immediate playmaker on offense or defense.

Because this is the 'Go for broke scenario', there is no 2011 season.

Peppers is a stud, but there is something people need to realize. People who hate on Moss for "not playing hard all the time" would blow a gasket watching Peppers. It isn't that he doesn't give full effort...he just doesn't look like he is giving full effort.

This one doesn't make a lot of sense to me for a bunch of reasons:
- If you are going for broke in 2010, Wilfork is your guy...not a bunch of rooks
- Must not trade Raider pick. 2 words...Patrick Peterson
- At best you are shuffling the deck chairs with this move. At worst, one or more of these rooks wash out, potentially leaving gaping holes in the defense.
- Coverage isn't McClain's strong suit and the teams standing between the Pats and title #4 are the Colts, Chargers and Steelers...all passing teams. In fact, these teams could spread the field and get your two 1st round picks off the field a lot.

#42 - Trade to Denver for Marshall

I don't think Denver would do this trade, but it would be great for the Pats if they could pull it off.
2010 - Mitigates the loss of Welker early and supplements his production for the playoff run.
2011 - Replaces Moss and removes need to spend high draft pick on one of the stud WRs (say it with me again...Patrick Peterson).

Slot WR - Edelman, Tate

Tate really isn't a slot guy. Doesn't affect your roster makeup though.

FB - Harbor

Besides the "Dirty Water" tie-in, what is the point? Morris can lead in a 2-back set and they use OGs in short yardage.

RILB - McClain, Alexander

You cut poor McKenzie before he ever plays a down?

LOLB - Peppers, Thomas, Woods

AD would be gone even if his mom was the coach.

Good effort. Dump the Wilfork trade, keep the Raider pick, give McKenzie a chance, swap the fullback for a scatback, give AD a train ticket instead of a roster spot and draft a better DE and you've got something.

I fixed your post. . . . :)

Your right, there is no 2011 season, but im pretty sure that we would still have a draft. Why would we just throw away a (possible) top 5-10 pick? Is Wilfork not that valueable in the game? I think its clear to see that he's the best NT in the league right now.

That move CLEARLY wouldn't make any sense
