Week 3 TNF: Kansas City Chiefs at Philadelphia Eagles

You're comparing a "first do no harm" QB to Brees, who's a "screw it, I'm chucking the ball deep" guy.

Smith has essentially been schooled to play like early Brady (if he'd been in a west coast offense), with the exception of Smith using his superior running ability.

no not comparing, just saying he is choking and running when the pocket is not breaking down when he sees no one open.

this game may have turned.

Demps with the butter fingers. Almost cost them there.

McClusterfukk

Yep. He's doing what 60% of the QB's in this league don't know how to do.

He's establishing the basics. If you play like that, you get your teammates trust and they'll bust their ass for you .

Yup.... for all the "He'll never win for you" stuff, he took the 49ers to within a pair of blown punt returns of the Super Bowl two years ago.

He'd have been a great fit for Rex Ryan and his 'ground and pound'.

I was just about to post Smith's been doing what only 3 other QB's in the league have the past 3 years. Brady, Rodgers and Peyton.

He doesn't have the rest of their talents, but all 3 of those guys do the game manager to perfection first. Before anything else. They take care of the basics.

Alex makes the saying "less is more," true. His stlye may not be good enough to beat the elite teams but it seems enough to make the playoffs on a consistent basis.

But you're calling it choking when that's not what it is.

Not sure why Charles tried to take him on right there. He had the corner for at least 3 more yards.

big 3rd down. Eagles have given up some big 3rd downs. Denver is going to roast them next week.

He's been getting happy feet because his pocket awareness is limited, in addition to that he's been getting hit on nearly every dropback tonight. That alone should tell you all you need to know about his psyche.

The Eagles have no answer for Donnie freaking Avery. Bowe's been invisible.

KC needs to run more.

Isnt that the new penalty they said they wil call on the RBs?

Don't buy it. This kid's solid and has been solid for his 3rd year now. If he's got happy feet, it's cause he's been feeling some pressure tonight, but it hasn't shown in his psyche, evident of that clutch throw right there on 3rd and long backed up in his own end zone. And...no turnovers.

That's not a guy with a weak psyche or poor awareness. Those usually are the ones who throw the picks.

Avery is pulling an Edelman this week. Why isn't he being trippled covered?

I can see happy feet, my wife a SF fan says he does this, loses pocket awareness and just runs

3rd and short, andy reid speciality coming up.

Converting 3rd and 10 from the 5 yard line is a big time play.
