Pitt v Tampa.....so glad I'm not in Virginia anymore. I won't miss hoping to see the pats each week OR looking for a reliable stream on my laptop.

Phew. Last year, the NFL punished us in CT after the Jets loss by giving us the Giants. Not this year!! (sorry Fairfield County fans)

Not really a surprise. With the Pats being televised nearly everywhere they could be in weeks one and two, I wasn't expecting them to be televised outside of New England and upstate New York this week.

Funny how one little part of North Carolina gets San Diego at Seattle rather than Indy at Denver, and Tampa opted for Washington at St Louis over Philly at Jacksonville in other games.

I wonder if they have carefully developed demographic models for selecting these markets or if it's just a bunch of people sitting around a table and guessing.

I think it is up to the station manager for each network station if they want to overrule the game assignment, which seems to be based upon the most local team, then games by a division rival, then most appealing game from a national perspective. The networks probably do some market research, but they will change the game for stations with lots of complaints and/or a determined staion manager
