It didn't help that Hodel, the team's union representative, was viewed as a locker room lawyer by some, according to a source close to the club.

Failed it right after arthroscopic surgery. Saw an article ( sorry no link) that said the Cards weren't happy with the accuracy of his snaps......yet he snapped to Rackers when he hit 40 in a row.................

Failed it right after arthroscopic surgery. Saw an article ( sorry no link) that said the Cards weren't happy with the accuracy of his snaps......yet he snapped to Rackers when he hit 40 in a row.................

IMO the holder is much more important than the snapper. As long as the snapper doesnt bounce it or throw it over the holders head the holder should be able to get the job down

FWIW, Hodel was released by the Cardinals because he failed a post-season physical.

I don't get this. Why didn't the FO just re-sign Paxton? Seriously, how much money did they really save? This has the potential - if not the certainty - of being the most penny-wise/pound-foolish position swap of the off-season, by any team.
