It is certainly true that we have overcome similar weaknesses in the past and still won the SB. We have been weaker at WR and in the secondary. That fact doesn't make the weaknesses any less important. All teams overcome some adversity, and this team is better than any. However, it really is not good to start camp with major weaknesses at Wr, the secondary and in retruners.

This accepts as normal the turnover at kicker and linebacker, and accept current injuries as business as usual.

I'll grant you that at this point WR looks like a weak area, but I think it premature to brand DBs and PR/KR as a weakness.

The only thing I'm worried about is depth, so would that be a weakness? I really like our first string of players. Once Branch reports and if the other WR's stay healthy I think Brady will have his best group of recievers to this date!

1. Branch ( enough said)
2. Caldwell (having a good camp)
3. Jackson (needs to show the coaches something)
4. Brown ( always dependable)
5. Childress (?)
6. I don't know who will be the 6th if the coaches decide to carry a sixth

To me, this is the best group since Branch, Givens, Patten, Brown. Caldwell will replace Givens just fine and Jackson has the potential to be a superstar. Only time will tell.

my biggest "depth" worry is LB. I'd say WR, but as others have mentioned, while there may not be a ton of quality WRs, there are PLENTY of pass-catching targets - Faulk, Dillon, Watson, Thomas, Graham, Mills and, obviously, the WRs.

We have the best corp non-WR receivers in the league. That doesn't make our WR position stronger, just less critical.

Shouldn't we wait for him to play an NFL game before we claim that?

IF ALL PLAYERS WERE HEALTHY .....

this team has no glaring weaknesses.

But that is not the case! Health concerns are everywhere and I just don't
understand WHY the H__L this team gets so many injuries! It's just
seems it is an on going thing. Maybe they don't eat the right suff at the blade.
Maybe Bellichick is too excessive in stressing their bodies. .... dont know the
answer.
Sure other teams have injuries but it just seems PATs ALWAYS have injuries.
ALWAYS ALWAY ALWAYS! why?

Look at the list ... Seymour, Bruschi, Jackson, Light, Koppen, Mills, Samuel,
Graham, Pass, Green, Hill, Gay, Kaczur, Harrison
... now maybe even Maroney?

There is some serious talent loss in that list.

Patriots Weaknesse??? .... sure there is .... unhealthy guys ... that is
their biggest weakness.

Sorry guys, just had to vent some of this frustration ....

I am not worried about our WR situation at all. I think if Reche and Chad can show us improvements in camp we will be good to go. I am just more worried about the LB situation. No matter how you look at it, if we lose Tedy, or Vrabel, or any one of our starting LBs we're gonna be hurting.
