Jun. 13 - Japanese company Genepax presents its eco-friendly car that runs on nothing but water.

The car has an energy generator that extracts hydrogen from water that is poured into the car's tank. The generator then releases electrons that produce electric power to run the car. Genepax, the company that invented the technology, aims to collaborate with Japanese manufacturers to mass produce it.

I just don't see how it works. The energy required to split hydrogen out of water is immense.

And it's a video...I hate on line vids. Unless there's at least two hot girls in them.

They will sell for $20,000,0000, Al Gore & Leonardo DiCaprio will be the only people in America to own one.

Currently, that system costs on the order of ¥2,000,000 (or about $18,700 -- not including the car), but company says that if it can get it into mass production that could be cut to ¥500,000 or less (or just under $5,000).

I saw on go across a lake about 1.5-2 miles long. It was in the early sixties '62-'63 not sure maybe even earlier. But i remember it being red and white,it had two small propellers on each side of the centered liscense plate.

I wonder how nervous combustion engine auto manufacturers and oil companies get over news like this?

What I love is that it's NOT one of these companies developing the technology. Hopefully, the japanese company won't sell out the technology.

This is the kind of technical information if viable, must be released. Governments can't allow big corporations to buy out technology like this and then proceed to bury it. It is one of those "the good of the people" being placed before profit and bottom line economics.

Japan has a good track record of new and innovative technology replacing outdated ones. Unlike the US where we often have the big & powerful corporations preventing newer technology from ever making it to market.

If the Japanese can bring this to market as an affordable option, US manufacturers won't have any choice but to compete. That's why I hope it stays in Japan and isn't sold to US interests.

I still wanna know how it works--no one can tell me how it works. The energy needed to split water is immense.
