    .

    ..... quoted from Capp:

"... “out of him shines the most enormous good nature..the most enormous good will, and the most enormous affection…”

Al Capp was no pushover. Or fool.

I liked Al Capp, liberals hated him, that must be why I liked him.

    PS
Capp had a name for one of his character's in his Lil Abner strip that fits Barbara Boxer like a glove
    "Moonbeam McSwine"

Yeah, I didn't follow Capp much when he was around, either Li'l Abner or his TV show. But he seems like a character. Definitely "irreverent" in a nice kind of way.

Pretty good interview though, eh. I can tell you that is exactly how Rev. Moon is -- good-humored, straight-shooter, affable. Somebody you could trust with anything, even your life.

Capp appears to mock Moon, e.g., "Does God speak always through Moon or does God only make scheduled appearances?" "Does God speak Korean?" (Yes he does.) Nonetheless, Moon liked Capp saying it's the first time he met as nice a person as Capp since coming to the U.S. All in all, a bit of fluff, but Moon comes off pleasant enough.

Yeah, "fluff". So I'm here to fill in the gaps in all that "fluff". You deserve nothing less. :D

Many times Reverends have gone to the streets in America and as a result there have been killings, houses burnt down, police cars overturned, stores looted and people killed.

I can never remember Reverend Moon ever practicing this Mob Mentality behavior on the streets of any country anywhere in the world.

I have never heard of "A Moonie" beheading anybody especially on TV.

It's interesting: Rev. Moon did a number of speaking tours around America during the early-mid 1970s, and everywhere he went there would be wall-to-wall advertisements, bill-boards, posters, etc. I mean EVERY square inch that was available was covered. The interesting part: by the morning of the day AFTER the events, every single one of those posters and wall boards was taken down and removed by a staff who would work all night long.

Respect. It's what makes the world go 'round.

Ah-h-h, but a pale imitation of the real thing.

God actually has emotions, and is not afraid of showing them!!

Isn't that the guy Dan Akroyd used to mimic on SNL?

Oookayyyy... so I take it we're meant to be impressed that a cartoonist liked a cult leader, and we're meant to believe that Spock on Star Trek was supposed to be God... and now we're going to psychoanalyze the Supreme Being just to wrap it all up...

Is it just me, or have we gotten to the point where this belongs next door? Having trouble teasing out the political relevance here...

I think he's doing it to both get the world of Moon out and to evoke criticism again...either way it's his usual thing.

As a matter of fact, yes. Give a listen, you can hear it, too! Go to the very deepest part of your heart and you'll find Him there.
