I wonder if there is an open minded media type anywhere, and thus Walsh will at least be ASKED who that other team was.
NFL said:"Mr. Walsh told the commissioner that he was wearing Patriots’ attire at the time and did not conduct himself in a clandestine manner. He said that he saw Rams employees while he was there and also was on the sidelines. He stated clearly to the commissioner that nobody from the Patriots requested or directed him to observe or report on the Rams’ walk-through."
Martz said:"I was stunned at Matt Walsh’s allegation that he was on the sideline in New England Patriots apparel during our walk-thru. I find that insulting, disturbing and a slap in the face to both our team security and NFL security, who both do outstanding jobs. I promise you that if he was on the sideline, he was not in New England Patriots apparel because he would have been identified.
"This whole issue is based on statements made by Matt Walsh, and I think we have to understand that.
Martz is basically saying that Walsh is lying..

If you stopped and thought that through for a second, you'd know it wasn't Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe was the starter against Tamp. He would have been on the field during the game in 2000 and would have been the one receiving the play calls from Weis. So, it was either Brady or Freisz who was the back-up watching the other team's defensive coaches and letting Weis know (we know it wasn't Bishop because he wasn't the brightest bulb in the socket).
What is also interesting is that Martz pretty much denies that Walsh was there on the sidelines in Pats garb.

That's what I gathered as well.
Interesting Zolak comment yesterday was that his main job as a backup was to try and steal defensive signals. I honestly think the average Patriot hater has no clue that stealing signals is a part of the game and an accepted one, and don't realize that a) it was the taping that we were penalized for, not for having stolen signals b) up until 2006, BB's explanation of using the tapes for another game is rather legit.
I'm surprised that the Patriots haven't said more to discredit Walsh
but I suspect that they are still under a gag order. The NFL is
hoping the matter will just fade away with the passage of time.
You are giving Walsh too much 'status'.
He is an apprentice assistant golf pro. Not exactly quite like being a golf pro. At a guess - and it's strictly an uneducated guess - he gets to video tape golfers making practice swings and then turns those tapes over to an assistant golf pro who analyzes the tapes for the course golf pro. The real golf pro at the Kaanapali Golf Resort might not even be able to pick Walsh out of a line up. Or maybe Walsh gets to handle the club rental concession and sell buckets of used balls.

Specter already named that team. The Jets.
:wha: No!
Walsh is a reason why Specter is still playing his game because he doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.
Somebody need to tell Walsh to STFU because he is not doing anybody any good. He only makes everything complicated and worse.
