During the elections in November a lot of the news pundits were talking about how red states are turning bluer because of migration. People are moving to red states because they offer a better life, and more affordable housing than the urban east/west coast states do.

That's pretty much what's happening here in NH. Not that NH was ever a "red" state so to speak, we were always pretty independent. It has seemed to be "blue" more consistently lately though. That's fine, I understand that's been the trend the past few years. I just don't want it to become a blue-no-matter-how-bad-the-candidate state (like a certain state directly to our south).

That's what will happen. I know alot of people who live in NH who talk about how the state is moving in the wrong direction.

I have to say it hasn't been encouraging so far. Like I said, I can understand people voting democratic/republican. But when people do it without thought and just vote one way all the time, it drives me nuts. And that's what is seems like most of the constituents from MA are like (not to mention increasing property values to ridiculous levels and driving like absolute maniacs).

When you grow the welfare state, and vote in an entitlement style government, you're going to increase the cost of living, and lower the quality of life in that jurisdiction. Bigger government means a ****tier life. Generally speaking of course.
