[Myth is the gift that keeps on giving, he has missed so many opportunities it is no wonder that the Republicans are questioning their choice for president...

Apparently there is a lot of behind the scenes discontent, does that sound familiar.. here is a hint, McCain/Palin..

I wonder if he plans for his children to do the same thing with the $100,000,000+ tax free trust fund he's established for them?

For a political party that almost prides itself on its conformity, Mitt is a breath of bad air.

the funny thing is that the guy filming it IS a donor, and obviously has had enough of Romney.

Very perceptive of Romney. You look at the number of people getting a check from government and the % who don't pay federal taxes,

Sounds about right. I'll give him credit for being more perceptive that I would have thought.

What the heck is that even trying to prove?

I make $20,000 per year and pay $2,000 in payroll taxes.

I get $3500 in earned income credits.

Yeah I paid payroll taxes... what's my net tax liability?

Mittens is probably one of the 47% that doesn't pay taxes.

Some people think federal payroll tax is somehow not a federal tax.

Payroll taxes apply to all income up to the 100k+ area and is a uniform rate, why would anyone cliam that 47% of people don't pay that. Again 47% of people don't pay Federal income taxes if that is less confusing to some.

I'm part of the 53%. Hopefully these comments spur a serious discussion about everyone paying into the system they love to take from. These comments will likely hurt his chances cuz there's no way the MSM will allow an honest discussion on this topic. We'll hear about how he hates the poor and elderly, and loves the rich. We always hear about "fair share" yet never discuss the people who don't pay income taxes at years end, or worse, those who actually get back more money than they even earned by way of the EITC. Ultimately talk like this is a losing proposition politically. Too few people understand the point being made, and far too many who will scream "save the children" in order to drown out legitimate discourse.

You guys enjoy that 47% meme while it lasts. Despite the pubbies' best efforts, the recovery has been continuing, and the unemployment rate has been dropping. The 47% will be down in the 30s again very soon.

The people who so concern you are, among others, the unemployed, the really really hardcore poor, the working poor making 20K a year, people in nursing homes... and, if we're going back 2 years, very likely Mitt Romney himself (at the other end, where the write-downs from the Republican financial collapse were taken on 09 taxes.)

I know for the hard-core pubbie base, this sounds great... but I wonder how this will play for Joe six pack pubbie, who knows good and well that he had a negative tax burden last year... and now has a Mittens bulls-eye on his back.

If Mittens were right, and he is forfeiting 47% of the vote ahead of time, hell, me, Darryl, the Mrs., and our liberal friends probably put Obama over the top all on our lonesome.

Whatever he got at that fundraiser he lost 10x that much in earned bad media.
