CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson coach Dabo Swinney presented Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich with a $5,000 check for the school's Uplifting Athletes chapter. Swinney made the presentation Saturday as the Tigers (1-1, 0-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) battle Boston College (2-0) in the Eagles' ACC opener. Herzlich is out this season battling Ewing's Sarcoma, a cancer most often found in bone or soft tissue. Herzlich was last year's ACC defensive player of the year. Swinney also gave Herzlich a No. 94 Clemson jersey signed by Tiger players. Uplifting Athletes is a group that raises awareness and funds to fight rare diseases.
