    Varitek's value is in the clubhouse and dugout. He can't hit and his arm is gone. If I'm the Sox I pay him the $3 million for great past service and move on. A defensive type backup catcher is what we need.

    Yeah, I honestly don't think he makes it through the spring training cuts.
