Ron's latest political ... setting aside that he's GOP right now he sure makes a good point IMO.

GOP Senate Hopeful Ron Johnson: Vote For Me, An Accountant : It's All Politics : NPR

    YouTube - Johnson TV: "57"

I do agree later in the link about accountants ... not sure we need them but we do need more women, minorities and business people for sure. That good ol' boy network needs to be retooled.

I wonder why there aren't any scientists? Maybe they always go over the maximum IQ rule.

We need more tradesmen, too. People who really work hard for a living.

And all children of members of Congress should serve in the armed forces.

I think it might have to do with the fact that Senators write laws and should therefore actually understand their scope and structure.

But then again my legal expertise harkens all the way back to LA Law

    I think I'm ready.

The real problem is that there are 0 people who are not beholden to big money, not the fact that they are lawyers. Another superficial campaign ploy.

I think he's simply saying we need more people in DC that actually understand economics.

You mean the guy who arguably stole an election (a comedian? Didn't I say a real job ), that c-u-n-t millionaire, and another DB that sold her vote and wasn't shy about it.

Nicely disguised sexist and disgusting language, RW, you've outdone yourself.

And just FYI, Barbara Boxer's net worth was between $1,113,009 and $5,347,000 in 2007, which hardly qualifies her for **** millionaire.

What would you call Meg Whitman who is worth $1.4 billion or Linda McMahon who's net worth is $1.2 billion?

Somehow I imagine you thinking they're simply smart business women.

That is a ridiculous statement Wistah. Maybe anyone who runs for federal office must have served their nation, but not thier children. Besides, it would never be enforceable.

Once these "children" reach the age of 17, they could just tell the gov't to take a flying leap...I know I would.

"Please call me senator...I believe I've earned it"

The most arrogant statement I've ever heard during a congressional session.

Imagine if a male senator interrupted a guy and said, "Please don't call me sir, call me senator...."

Sexist? And disguised at that? Um, in what way? Did you see the video? She is a C U Next Tuesday like you read about. I pray that October 12th (that's next tuesday for all you calendar challenged folk) with a vagina loses by 1 million votes. If I were that general, I'd have continued to call her M'am. Maybe with a few choice words added for color. ;)

Who cares about Meg Whitman. She's probably a millionare DB too. Oops, make that a billionare DB too. :D

Oh, and last I checked, $5 million makes you a millionare. [IMG]
