Most ultra rich are liberals, they can afford any amount of tax increases.

    ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

BUffettt said that he had never paid less $$$$ in taxes as he did when Bush was president. Now I agree that rich people CAN pay more taxes, but they are not rich because they give away thier money. I'd be willing to bet that a vast majority of the richest people in America are conservative. If they were liberal, I believe you would see a lot more social programs.

I can't speak to what he pays but he seems to like to exaggerate such things as he did when speaking of his secretary's tax rate. Regardless, the top 10% pay more now, in actual dollars and as a percentage, than in 2000 - I've posted links on that before.

If everyone paid the same %, we could get to the issues that actually matter. The fact that there is a different tax rate for income bracket is dumb, it leads us to cut taxes or raise taxes for certain people.

I've seen charts and graphs that show how ALL people get screwed in all kinds of different ways by the tax laws. Show me a graph...I'll show you one that says the opposite. I'll show you how Donald Trump can make $1 in income, yet own 7 yacts and 6 penthouses. The main thing in the bracketed system isn't WHO is paying WHAT ..... Its who can afford to pay someone to figure out how they pay less.

Its the same logic as a lobby, spending 30 million to NOT lose 40 million...etc.

    FLAT - fukin - TAX!!!!!

Well a flat tax would make the middle class pay more so I don't think it's realistic.

Again, I just don't like hearing Buffet say the things he does about himself, even if they're true, because he has an agenda and misleads the debate about how much tax the rich pay.

    ??????????????????????

Anyone can give their money to the government. I bet Buffett does everything he can to avoid paying taxes. You are free to donate to the goverment if you think they'll do something good with it.

"Money is best kept in the hands of those who know how to spend it"

    -Alexander Hamilton-

The government wouldn't be one of those people. :D
