*Update* Patriots and Broncos Not Flexed to Sunday Night

Are you bleeping kidding me? According to Titan TV my CBS station is giving me Jets/Eagles you know a game that has NO real playoff implications. I really hope this is a mistake and my station will end up getting the Pats game. I am not watching Tubby Wrecks and Fraud Sanchez that is for sure.

Everything else (ie: Zap2It, TV Guide, my Comcast box) is saying "TBA" for what game. I'll contact my CBS station to see if they know what game will be on. From what the station manager has told me Pats are the highest called for team to be aired outside of Vikings/Packers.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it's very safe to say where you are that you'll get the Pats-Broncos, regardless of the current listings. The only markets that won't get this game are the ones that are committed to other teams playing on CBS at that time: Jets at Eagles, and Browns at Cardinals; plus SF/Oakland as the Raiders are playing at home at the same time.

Influence is not bullying (your term.)

Perhaps someone should educate 52decleetzu that the epitome of "bullying" is murdering someone then intimidating the witnesses so that you can stay out of jail and continue to play linebacker in the NFL.

Not pointing the finger at anyone in particular or anything.......

At least you get the Jets Eagles game...I am forced to watch a horror show-Browns at Arizona.

Back to the streams sigh...and redzone w. that annoying idiot Hanson something.

Maybe local talk radio can talk about this for another two hours today, right after Seguins alarm clock, how Garnett can influence Chris Paul and how Valentine is gonna kick everyone's ass and whip them into shape.

From what I have read, heard and seen, I think there is only a very small minority that even realize that the Pats are playing the Redskins, and not the Broncos on Sunday.

More like flexing his very sunstantial muscles.....more so recently....redistricting thanks to obliging politicians (wonder how that works) and now casinos.
In the past, state funded infrastructure....again, nice to have obliging politicians.

If a casino does get built, hope they name it appropriately ...Bradywoods....because without our gunslinger, the local McDonalds would be the best meal in town

I see your intellectual failings go beyond football.

The village idiots must be impressed. I see the dunce hat in your future.

Week 15 flex decision ruffles some feathers within the league | ProFootballTalk
But plenty of people around the league have a very strong opinion about the situation. As one source with one of the teams not directly involved in the situation explained it, the decision has sparked a significant amount of strongly-worded email traffic among executives with the various teams regarding the manner in which the league handled the decision not to shift New England at Denver from 4:15 p.m. ET to 8:20 p.m. ET.

Per the source, there are two concerns. First, some teams believe that it’s the latest example of unfair and inconsistent treatment by the league office. Many believe that the Patriots pushed for the status quo, as a favor to CBS. Peter King of SI.com has suggested on Twitter that the Ravens and Broncos also were involved in the lobbying, and that the perception Pats owner Bob Kraft strong-armed the league into keeping New England at Denver on CBS is incorrect. (King promises to tell the full story in the next Monday Morning Quarterback.) Regardless of whether it was the Patriots only or the Patriots along with the Broncos and Ravens, the source explained that most teams are ignored when making requests regarding flexing and non-flexing decisions.

“Only a few clubs are treated with such delicate gloves,” the source said.

Second, there is some discontent with the league’s failure to be candid about the situation with the other 28 teams. The internal memo explaining the situation was regarded by some as an insult to the intelligence to those who understood what was going on — that CBS and NBC were fighting over which network would televise the game, and that one or more teams were actively involved in lobbying the league toward keeping Ravens-Chargers in the prime-time position.

Go ahead..Florio garbage PFT why would anyone believe them they are terrible please what are you talking about what a joke......

That's OK, your number one Patriot's mouthpiece Peter King will clear it ALL up in his MMQB this week. How the entire league has it all wrong and his buddy Kraft told him so.

Jeez, you're not obsessed about this issue, are you? By the way, were you drunk when you typed that first sentence?

Cutting remark.

So basically you think it's unfair that the league got strong armed by the Patriots into following the rules?

San Diego and Baltimore should be a better and at minimum will be a good game.
Zero reason to flex.

Also, the Patriots should get some deference. The league has been riding New England's coattails for a decade.

It's Week 14 and two 1 PM games with one game flexed into 1 PM.

Ask Jeff Saturday of the INDIANAPOLIS Colts. Without Bob Kraft, you are watching the NHL this weekend instead of your roided up, tax-supported team.

Take a look at the comments section where 90% of the posters believe this is a non story considering Ravens-Chargers will have playoff implications.

Very true. My CBS station has confirmed to me that Pats-Broncos will be the game aired today.

Whoops I meant that I found out today my CBS station is going to be airing it. Damn me not proof reading that previous post lol! :(

I emailed my local CBS station. They replied back. I have the Browns Cards game at 4pm.

FML.

This is ******* bull****.

I don't get what all the controversy is about. As I understand it, NBC has the right to grab certain games (subject to certain limitations) and Fox and CBS have the right to protect certain games. So was NE-Den "protected" by CBS or not? Apparently so.

IMHO, the participating teams should not have any say in the matter. Once you open that Pandora's Box, you get endless whining and complaining from any team that doesn't like their schedule.

You're joking, right? Den-NE is a far better draw. Two teams in the middle of playoff contention, not to mention the QB that the entire nation is talking about (and sorry I'm not talking about Brady).

I'm glad they didn't flex it but let's not go overboard and pretend the Bal-SD is a better game.
