*Update* Patriots and Broncos Not Flexed to Sunday Night

Now that it remains an afternoon game, I expect our secondary to hold Tesus under 375 yds....good news

More like flexing his very sunstantial muscles.....more so recently....redistricting thanks to obliging politicians (wonder how that works) and now casinos.
In the past, state funded infrastructure....again, nice to have obliging politicians.

If a casino does get built, hope they name it appropriately ...Bradywoods....because without our gunslinger, the local McDonalds would be the best meal in town
If you think that's "bullying", you have no idea what defines it. State-funded infrastructure i.e. roadwork, yes, but the guy built his own stadium with his own money in an era when that was still exceedingly rare. Just for the record, if I lived in Foxboro I would likely be against the casino, but I don't live there. The fate of that project will likely be correctly in the hands of the people of Foxboro via a referendum vote. Now, I suppose you think "Bob the Bully" will rig that, also, correct?

This is great news because I am going to the game. When I found out that it was initially flexed I was bummed since my flight is at 9:00. Glad I didn't start selling my tickets.

Haha, no, not by a longshot. Brilliant minds think alike? Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that yet.

I'm not buying the CBS Scene angle at all, but have thought that CBS got screwed by being forced to give up the Minnesota-Denver game. If Fox indeed did not have 'enough' games that week they probably should have been given some other game than that one; frankly I don't see why they had to be given another game at all. I think the NFL set up a poor precedent for the networks when they made that decision, and it bit them in the butt when it came to talks about flexing this other game.

Maybe you should ask the Foxboro Selectmen about that, I am sure they would have an opinion on the matter. As do a lot of the fans from me reading here occasionally.

Kraft is trying to turn Foxboro into his own little corporate playground, and uses the same type of influence and clout he has with the NFL to get his way. Sure worked with the SNF game, I mean Tebow vs Brady or the Ravens vs a 4-7 SD team?No brainer right? Wrong. Kraft and CBS aren't going to let that happen.

I bet the residents are fully behind the cash cow casino he is trying to build aren't they? Oh no what is that they are putting up a fight and Kraft is trying to squash them like a bug? Couldn't be.

Follow the money.
As I stated in an earlier post, if I were a Foxboro resident I would likely be against the casino. But, I'm not and whether or not a casino becomes a reality will be likely determined by a referendum vote of the citizens of Foxboro. Squash them like a bug? You're watching too many episodes of Boardwork Empire, sport. If you don't think businessmen and businesswoman use their influence every day, I'm guessing you're putting out the cocoa for Santa already. Where you're wrong is suggesting that the use of that influence in a public arena question can override the public's wishes. It can't, as long as the issue is in the hands of a vote of the citizens, and it is. Finally, you need to be careful about throwing around the "bullying" term when describing situations which don't warrant it. We all know how correctly eye-catching and inscendiary that term and it's use is these days, but intentionally misusing it is disingenuous.

Great I work 6-8 and was hoping for a flex...now its tape delay and pray for no spoilers...never will happen :(

I have to wonder if flexing out a blacked-out game didn't play into this. Seriously, why should CBS get stuck with a Chargers game that's blacked out in its home market?

WOHOOOOO. I get to watch the Browns take on the Cardinals at 4pm.

Thanks a lot CBS!!!

Couldn't be!

Didn't know that Kraft was the chairman of the broadcasting committee as well.

Nah, no influence there.:D

Hey Baltimore troll you should be thanking kraft for allowing the Ravens prime time spotlight for your team to choke on.

Who was the cash envelope man who got your Ray Lewis off the hook, sport?

A freaking Indianapolis Colt (yeah, they got the COLTS!) told the entire world that Bob Kraft saved football.

You're fighting a losing battle.

Yes, chairman of the NFL broadcasting committee. Has been a driving force on that committee for some time. If anything it's going to mean he's going to be more partial to keeping all parties - both networks in this case - satisfied.

Obviously you've seen CBS granted multiple unjust favors over the years, right? What, no? Okay then, continue on with the good fight of twisting speculation masquerading as facts to fit your agenda.

I have a feeling that even if the game was flexed, the Ravens fan would still be complaining along the same exact lines that Kraft used his 'influence' to get the Pats into prime time.

Broncos fans are blaming the Patriots for the game not being flexed.

We really need to pick off Tebow a couple times.

Influence is not bullying (your term.)

This probably means I won't get to watch the game here in the land of the New Jersey teams, but I think it's best for the Pats. Risky enough for our guys' playing in Denver, but add the "twelfth man" of national media Tebow-mania and I think it would have been an even tougher game than it already will be.

Good decision from the Pats' perspective but it blows if you're a Pats fan who lives in the City.

Are you bleeping kidding me? According to Titan TV my CBS station is giving me Jets/Eagles you know a game that has NO real playoff implications. I really hope this is a mistake and my station will end up getting the Pats game. I am not watching Tubby Wrecks and Fraud Sanchez that is for sure.

Everything else (ie: Zap2It, TV Guide, my Comcast box) is saying "TBA" for what game. I'll contact my CBS station to see if they know what game will be on. From what the station manager has told me Pats are the highest called for team to be aired outside of Vikings/Packers.

Good luck with that.
