But..... But...... Just a couple days ago, libbies in here were saying it was 7.1%.
too bad......the people of this country deserve better, but ultimately get what they ask for
Where are the jobs,Mr. President? Where are the jobs???
Guess they couldn't fudge the numbers enough to keep the game/illusion alive for another month.
Doesn't matte though. The cake is baked.
Lol, this will be interesting.
This is definately not good for Obama.
Unemployment higher now than when George Bush left office!!!We can't afford four more years!!
Where's the MrMrs with the 7.1% prediction?
Read my lips and read my plan ... this is what Obama says ... :bricks::bricks::bricks:
He's smiling at us when he says it ... the MSM fawns and swoons for him.
Color me surprised. And now with the economy taking a massive hit from Sandy it will only get worse. :scared:
Mr. and Mrs lied. Poor people cried.
kidding just a little schadenfreude
When have I ever made any prediction about unemployment? When have I ever "lied" about what the figures would be today? Please, I'd like a link - calling someone a liar is supposedly not allowed - most especially if there's no proof of such a lie.
That being said - the official unemployment figure went up 1/10 of a percent....hardly earth-shaking. If it had gone down 1/10 of a percent I'm pretty sure you'd all be dismissing the drop as utterly inconsequential.
Maybe you should read the whole thing, anyhow.....
Pre-Election Jobs Report: Increased Hiring, 7.9% Unemployed - Careers Articles
And this....this should be nothing but good news to you guys.
171,000 jobs added in Oct., unemployment rate 7.9%
And to think how excited all the libs were just 31 days ago.
People are suffering. Real people. All the fraudulent numbers the left throws at us does nothing to change that.
Wow those first 10 posts.....:bricks:
Ok so you guys only believe the numbers when it suits your argument?
I love it!
Not me; I don't believe these numbers any more than I do last month's. I have no doubt that they're bogus figures meant to mask the true, higher unemployment rate.
What makes this hilarious is the fact that they cheated the numbers last month and when people that had stopped started to go look for work with phoney optimism it jacked up the unemployment rate.
They got screwed by fudging their own numbers which makes me jump up and down with glee.
I like numbers....So.....what's the irony?
When have I ever doubted facts and #'s? Please inlighten me!
Edit: When I step into a debate, i usually supply the numbers to back up my opinion so I have no clue what your talking about, I guess its just easier to lie then to admit the truth....
nothing ever stop YOU from believing what you want to believe
you saying this number is wrong?
I love how the government says 114k jobs are added one month, and unemployment goes down .3%, and then the very next month 171k jobs are added, but the unemployment rate goes up. If that doesn't tell us that there is a funamental problem with the way the numbers are calculated, I don't know what does.
either that, or the real number is much higher and it's election time
You know all the data used for calculating these numbers and the methodology used is publicly available right?
Furthermore, I enjoy how the gloating posters in this thread call the numbers fake when it's low and real when it's high.
Pick one and stick with it. If they manipulated numbers 'they' wouldn't bring it down in September then let it slip back up before the election.
Like a pack of hyenas here.
The actual unemployment number is at least 10%.
yes.....the low number is fake and the real number is high...... and it is obvious the current administration is involved in the misrepresentation
the sad part is that the meaningful unemployment number (U6) is 15%
Why choose this latest number as real?
because it is more accurate than the previous number......
Just waiting for our feast on Tuesday.
Then next week they'll revise the numbers down to 80K.
Every month rinse and repeat
As election day draws closer ...
I'm thinking some republicans are looking like piranha ready for a feeding frenzy.
Hopefully the country is still intact come Wednesday morning.
My point wasn't so much specific to the times, or any potential goal of the people reporting them. It was more a matter of how messed up the entire calculating process is.
Yes, it's all publically available. That's not the issue really. My point is more along the lines of how bleeped up the calcuating process is. It makes very little sense to have fewer jobs one month, that lowers unemployment by 3/10'ths, when the following month adds more jobs but results in a 1/10th increase in the rate. To me, the formula's are too manipulated for the public good. Between all the seasonal adjustments, weighted surveys, and constantly changing formula's, I feel as if government stats lack a level of credibility. This goes for more than just the unemployment rate btw. The inflation rate is another worthless number. That formula has been changed 20 times in the late 70's.
