Stupid article, at least in its conclusion. Pete Carroll wants to win the Super Bowl, and will pursue winning as best he knows how. His history with the Patriots will have negligible effect on the strategy and tactics he uses in pursuit of winning.

As for being clever in recalling the Pats/Carroll connection -- I was pointing that out days ago, in the context of Kraft having hired two straight coaches who would (in one case later) turn out well, and Kraft himself has made the same point publicly since.
