    If this is entirely directed at NEM, I understand (if Bush can be blamed when jobs are lost, it's fair game to praise him for jobs gained). But otherwise, it's just as pointless to credit Bush for either.

    Well here in Phoenix, we have gone about 105 days without any rain. I have a feeling the NEM is going to come up with some "documented proof" that Bush is to blame for that too.

    Bush's deficit spending is keeping our employment rate strong, but there are long-term consequences. Reagan used deficit spending to keep the economy strong, but toward the end of his second term a recession set in that ultimately sunk Bush I. Whoever inherits the Bush economy is probably going to be a one term President, even if it's a Democrat.
