Pretty interesting "political" forum LOL!
Welp, I'm a-likin' it.
After his last press conference I chose to watch House reruns instead. It took a month for Obama to become what Bush had also become for me - unwatchable. When I hear that he's stopped lying (like when he accused Republicans in his PC of wanting to do nothing despite them proposing their own stimulus) then I will consider listening to him again.
I wanted to strap Pelosi down onto her seat. The 63 applaud interruptions were vomit inducing.
Oh yeah, that's the other reason I wouldn't watch. The frickin love fest.
It was painful. Almost as painful was Jindal's speech afterwards..
Interesting - I didn't see that either but I generally like what I've seen of Jindal.
Good speech, as usual, by Obama. The Democrats loved it, of course, but I think they were signaling to the Republicans that if they don't want to work towards bipartisanship, then the Democrats will go it alone.
I watched one of those Jewelry shows
I knew Auntie Pelosi would be in all the pictures Sucking Her Teeth and I can't stand looking at that women.
Did he say what he's going to do about his Aunt Zucchini and his Birth Certificate===
I noticed he said the US invented the automobile. Yet another historical inaccuracy in an Obama speech. If it were Bush it would be the topic of discussion and the opener for Jon Stewart tomorrow.
Best part of the speech:
"With the debt we've inherited...." ...
Staunchest con men sit on their hands, while everyone else rises in acknowledged applause.
You forgot the rest :
"With the debt we've inherited and to which we added $1.3 Trillion"
Because I feel especially comedic tonight, here ya go - - in all it's glory!!!!!
YouTube - Bobby Jindal: Republican Response Speech Part One
This video has NOT been tampered with!!!
The word "Ghoulish" somehow comes to mind. My guess - - that the Jindal speech will be commented upon more than Obama's speech over the next few days!
Now THAT was embarrassing. I've never seen anyone come across phonier in an attempt to deliver a "homespun" monologue. It sounded like a poor man's version of that Garrison Keilor show for PBS.
You mean that wasn't some comedy sketch?
Jindal was actually trying to be serious??????
You are just scared of us having an Indian American President aren't you ?
He wasn't at his best, the subject matter was a little too auto biographical and he seemed a little nervous but it was alright and as other youtube clips will show, that was not the best of Gindal.
Yes. Yes. And, yes.
"A little nervous"????? Is that why he SASHAYED into the room at the beginning???? It looked like he was walking a Miss Universe catwalk!!!!! I couldn't stop laughing!
Here's the Fox News panel, basically throwing up in their mouths!
Sarah, your path to the nomination just got a little clearer!
BTW, memo to all Republican politicians giving speeches:
Ixnay on the Katrina-ay!
Holy crap. Well I'm glad at least that Fox n fiends are sharing the distaste one can audibly hear at the outset of the MSNBC clip. I dunno if its their camera man, their reporter, somebody else's reporter, or for all I know one of Jindal's own staffers, but as Bobby sashays into the room, you can clearly hear a groaning whisper saying "Oh God."
I liked the part where had said "Everyone sitting in this room today wants this country to succeed." And then they all stood up.
He's Indian you racist! It's racist!!!!
Separate names with a comma.
