Why doesn't the media print the good news? We don't like to read this stuff. I wish they would post only the happy news about kids waving the American flag and soldiers hugging their Iraqi comrades.

NEW YORK The Washington Post has obtained a cable, marked "sensitive," that it says show that just before President Bush left on a surprise trip last Monday to the Green Zone in Baghdad for an upbeat assessment of the situation there, "the U.S. Embassy in Iraq painted a starkly different portrait of increasing danger and hardship faced by its Iraqi employees."

This cable outlines, the Post reported Sunday, "the daily-worsening conditions for those who live outside the heavily guarded international zone: harassment, threats and the employees' constant fears that their neighbors will discover they work for the U.S. government."

It's actually far worse than that, as the details publish below indicate, which include references to abductions, threats to women's rights, and "ethnic cleansing."

I didn't say that. I was happy as you when they killed Zarqawi. That was good news, but I still don't believe it will change the course of this war. As I've said many times, for 200 years the west has been trying to "englighten" the Middle East, but all we do is set it back and make the people angrier.

The big test will be if and when the government can do away with the tribal system. The tribal elders will need some job in the government for starters and then the security(Iraqi) is just going to have to clamp down...this tribal leader system is worse than a mafia and that will be the biggest hurdle of all.

What we have to do in the Middle East is end this Passionate Love Affair with Israel.

In the eyes of America Israel can do no wrong, let all of America's Entertainment Industry and ACLU Lawyers support Israel, when Israel gets in trouble Streisand, Chevy Chase, Paul Newman and Madelene Allbright should go over and help them out, they hate Bush you would think they wouldn't want his help.
Is there a ICLU in Israel (Israeli Civil Liberties Union)?

You have never documented or proven ****, the only thing you are good at is name calling, see your post. You, ie DEMOCRATS, will never think anything good can come out of Iraq, considering an election is comming up. You throw Marines under the bus for political gain, celebrate soldiers deaths and mock anyone who shows the slightest patriotism. F9ck your party before all mentallity it is dividing this country but you don't care, there is an election comming up, and your more worried about that than you are your own country. Your the god damned facist the way you think, and you are mind controlled by left wing politicans.

Zarqawi's death was nothing more than a glorified snuff film that could have been played much differently, our lack of knowledge of this culture and the muslim religion is doing nothing more than pissing off a future generation of terrorists. Come on now do you need to frame it??

His brain, Karl Rove, has exploited the military for political gain since they were appointed to office. This is another continuation of that. Maybe before the next presidential election they will actually get Bin Laden.
