'Twas two nights 'til game day,
And who should appear

But our bowl-destined Pats
Who were all in good cheer

Playbooks were tucked 'neath their pillows with care
In hopes that Coach Bill would not cuss, curse, or swear

The players then nestled all snug in their beds
As visions of touchdowns still danced in their heads

And Coach Bill in his hoodie plus Dean Pees in red
Had just settled in with no worries or dread

When from Providence airport there 'rose such a clatter
Bob Kraft and his son had to see what's the matter

Down 90 from Brookline they sped like a flash
Perhaps Philip Rivers, acting whiny and brash?

They gazed on the tarmac this cold winter's night
To behold a disturbing, most improper sight

Of Charger fans garbed in all summery dress
One would think they should get a sobriety test

Then came the team, queuing up for the vans
And the Krafts quickly saw, they're as odd as their fans!

Boasting and laughing and carrying on
The delusional upstarts, Norv Turner's spawn

Bob turned to his son with a look of regret
"They don't seem to know what's in store at Gillette!"

Jon Kraft thought it through, then remarked with a grin,
"Against goofballs like that, we are certain to win!"

The Krafts then departed, secure in the knowledge
That the Chargers were doomed to a day full of carnage

And while Chargers may threaten or inspire a chill
They will not be a match for the Pats or Coach Bill

On Brady! On Welker! Go Seymour and Vrabel!
Time to kick Charger ass, we know you are able
