Beoli drafted lots of second day offensive linemen in this past draft.. The thing that they had in common was that all were developmental candidates and not ready to play. It was only slightly tongue in cheek to say that they drafted a freshnman class for Dante's School for O linemen. But the present team is full to overflowing with Dante graduates.
Last year they let Ashworth walk and traded Gorin to the Cards. and the depth is still full to overflowing. If any of the newcomers looks like an eventual keeper I could see a trade to make eventual room for one of them. There is a great situation for another team that needs some interior O linemen and ORT. RAC in Cleveland wanted the present OLT to move to ORT to make room for coveted Joe Thomas but he asked fo a trade instead.
They also need a RG and a perhaps a C to fill in until Charles Bentley tries to return in 2008. I could see a trade of one of our spare linemen Kaczur or O'C or Hochstein or Yates to the Browns.
What do the Browns have in surplus that we might covet? How about an ILB? They have Andra Davis 6-1 250 and Chaud Thompson 6-2 245 and Leon Washington 6-1 245 all competing foer the two ILB positions on RACs copy of the Belichick 3-4 . All are good players, and show above average starting ability. And all have had experience in playing the Pat's 3-4.
Could this be a trade of mutual advantage that helps both clubs?
