I figured there hasn't been enough of these so I thought I'd add another. ;)

By LARA JAKES JORDAN and PAMELA HESS, Associated Press Writer

Bush administration officials from Vice President Dick Cheney on down signed off on using harsh interrogation techniques against suspected terrorists after asking the Justice Department to endorse their legality, The Associated Press has learned.

The officials also took care to insulate President Bush from a series of meetings where CIA interrogation methods, including waterboarding, which simulates drowning, were discussed and ultimately approved.

A former senior U.S. intelligence official familiar with the meetings described them Thursday to the AP to confirm details first reported by ABC News on Wednesday. The intelligence official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to publicly discuss the issue.

Between 2002 and 2003, the Justice Department issued several memos from its Office of Legal Counsel that justified using the interrogation tactics, including ones that critics call torture.

I knew I'd get a response. I don't do many threads so anytimes someone responds its something. :rocker:

This is my favorite part,Harry are you stiil awake?

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., lambasted what he described as "yet another astonishing disclosure about the Bush administration and its use of torture."

"Who would have thought that in the United States of America in the 21st century, the top officials of the executive branch would routinely gather in the White House to approve torture?" Kennedy said in a statement. "Long after President Bush has left office, our country will continue to pay the price for his administration's renegade repudiation of the rule of law and fundamental human rights."

The American Civil Liberties Union called on Congress to investigate.

Each year on the anniversary of Mary Jo's murder I call both his Washington and Boston office to commemorate the event. I like to hope it tortures someone....

I'm trying not to laugh at that, due to the fact that it is never funny when someone suffers a tragic death.

But I admit it is hard not to laugh at your statement - from the hypocrisy angle.

What eveyone dismisses is that while "torture" of fighters from Al Quida and the Taliban doesn't fall under the Geneva convention because they are not from "states" aka countrys. It signals that we torture "enemy combatants" remember that word becasue it could be applied to OUR soldiers. I.E. to the Iraqies, Germans, British, North Koreans, North Vietnamies etc WE were "Enemy Combatants" at one time. So if we can use term to condone torture so can't anyone else. I can't imagine the **** storm that would cause on this site alone.

Hey I've been watching other posters use **** all day and get away with it whats up with that?

I hope your right. Man I'd love to see that. What will come out in the next five to ten years will be astonishing I believe.

I originally put this up as sort of a "fishing trip" to see the responses since there have already been MORE than enough threads on this topic. Frankly it seemed just like any other, and I knew it probably would get shreaded by some.
The only humor I fine in it is the fact that Kennedy was mentioned, and Harry B's response to that if he saw it.

So should Pelosi and Reid be indicted for lying about their knowledge of the waterboarding?

I have said before that Uncle Teddy Uses his car to Waterboard, that waddling drunken slob has a lot of balls to talk about "torture" when it comes to degrading and abusing women that whole f-cking sorry a$s Kennedy family are worse than the Muslims.

Old Joe the bootlegger put his wife Rose through so much torture she spent half her life in church praying.

Uncle Teddy better stay from the torture debate.
