Top 25 Free Agents (Where they will go) NYP

Guess the NY Post hasn't realized that the Pats can keep both Revis and McCourty.

Just by extending Revis to a top market deal Pats free up cap space for 2015.
The trouble is that agents are pains in the butt. They will all want to wait until the
last moment (4 PM March 10) to get anything done. By then, the teams will have had
a couple of days of legal tampering.

If the Pats are considering the use of the franchise tag on McCourty, they'd have to make that decision way before March 10th. As a matter of fact, the 2 week window opens on Monday.

And weeks of illegal tampering.

I think Revis phenomenal, but I would not sacrifice a team to have him.

If McCourty are willing to receive more than 8 million a year I would use the tag this year and them trade him right away if thats possible.

I think 7.5m ( 6/43 and a large chunk of guaranteed money) per year is more than fair, he played very well the last two years but have had bad seasons too.

Revis is the same situation anything above 14.5m / 5 years I cut him. This year the Patriots were lucky regarding injuries , but if you put so much money ( 18m/year for example) on a single athlete the bench will lack talent and depht, and that will cost you games.

If both players accept fair deals ( Revis - Sherman/ McCourty - Chancellor).
Wilfork and Mayo will renegotiate or get cut , and other minor adjustments and contract restructuring (DA , Arrington and Hooman).
They will extend Solder and Gost.

The Patriots will be fine.
