Top 2008 signings I want

vince is the top most 08 signing for us. he is a 25 yr old NT .... their is no one even close to him in age and talent to replace.

lets get his contract done. we are 22 million under and i think after fa we will be around 15. so we can sign him to a big contract.

i do not want him to get near FA in 09...save cap for vince.

we can draft a LT or resign light

green can be replaced worst case with a DE

but vince is the one we absolutely cannot replace .

Also , fanace got 20 million contract and the only knock on him was he is 32 yr old. so logan mankins is going to be a big signing too.

Logan and Vince are the key to 09 and future.

Wow....someone actually looked at the FA talent level and decided the best use of our 22MM is to keep a couple of our own guys from becoming future FA's.

We extended RS & Tiny, fair is fair for big Vince.

As I posted b4...

1) Sign RM -

2) re-sign our own guys (our own current and potentially future FA's)

3) Look to the draft

I wholly agree. I've said this before, but I would be more pissed about losing either Mankings or Wilfork than losing Randy Moss.

As the Jets have shown this week, it's really really hard to find a stout NT for the 3-4. Wilfork is the pro bowl anchor of that defense, I'd be surprised if the Pats don't make every effort to extend him soon. They don't mess around when it comes to keeping linemen they like.
