The Patriots have made several moves this offseason to address their lack of receivers, but I don't think they've built one of the top five WR corps in the NFL. Here is my list. Let me know what you think:

Looks like a pretty good list will be interesting to see what fans think about this.

With so many new aquisitions it's hard to gauge how good they will be. We haven't even seen them play. But I am excited.

I doubt you'll see too much offense takent to ranking the Patriots #6 or whatever it is.

As far as I'm concerned, potential is nice but until the WR corps actually produces, they don't deserve to be ranked anywhere.

Furthermore, as I was among those who felt that Caldwell was taking far too long to get his "timing" down with Brady, I suppose everyone who came to Caldwell's defense will be expecting that it will take Moss, Stallworth and Welker a half a season just like it did with Caldwell before they can truly become productive (let's hope not) but fans should try not to have short memories about the fact that timing with a QB can be a factor (though I still feel Caldwell took far too long).

You have to take a receiver's ability into account. Moss, Stallworth, and probably Welker are all better receivers than Caldwell so naturally you should have higher expectations for them. Caldwell performed well in the situation he was in for my expectations.

    #32 Jersey

    wow,

we had 8 of the same teams in our top 10

I had the Redskins and Jets instead of the Steelers and Panthers

I guess I put too much stock in the Santana Moss, Bradon Lloyd, and Antwaan Randle El trio

As for the Rams, I forgot that they got Drew Bennett, or else I would have had them ranked higher

As far as the Patriots are concerned, the question as to where we belong in terms of being in the top 10 or so is pure stupidity.

Lets see them in action and make a judgement by the end of October to be realistic about this.

So I guess if they're popular on Sportscenter then they're elite. /sarcasm

For real I would go with:

    1. Rams (Tory Holt is the best WR in the league...he can get open against anyone and is productive when Bulger is out. Three guys who have held down the fort as #1s.)

    2. Colts (We all know why.)

    Huge drop off.

    3. Cincinattica (When they have Henry...He's an idiot but good at what he does on the field.)

    4. New England (With average WRs Brady had TDs and yards...but yeah WR depth and talent is unmatched. Production. We'll soon find out.)

    5. Panthers (Yeah Steve Smith all by him self. No running game. No QB. No O-line. I may be wrong about Holt. More talent here and they move up.)

    Cardinals are overrated.

I don't understand putting Denver in there, there a lot of other bunches I'd take, Miami being one of them.

I agree about Tory Holt. I love watching the guy esepcially when you know how hard he works to make sure his game is perfect. It's like watching an artist perform a brilliant piece.

    Oh please.

    http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com/archives/gameday/chris_chambers_the_worst_wr_in_football.php

Chris Chamber is the MOST overrated wide receiver in the league, plus you got rid of your top two receivers (McMichael and Welker). In fact, I'd go as far as saying you have the worst receiving corps within the division, I'd take Lee Evans any day over Chambers and Booker.

I hope you're right. I came in to say, If Denver is this good at receiver, they are one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the NFL now.

What a surprise, I use facts to back up my argument, and Aqua doesn't respond.

I'm glad they mentioned Jabar Gaffney and not Reche Caldwell.

At least somebody on here knows what the hell they are talking about.:D

Whats interesting is that 3 of the 4 guys on the Pats list weren't here last season. Just to show you how good Tom Brady is that we went to the AFCCG last year with no recievers. Lienart will be great this season, and think Bouldin and Fitzy might be the recievers to watch out for this year. With James at RB they are playoff bound this season if there OL can hold up and there Defense plays well.

i thought that at first but from what i've heard about him lately it sounds like he wont be cut.

    I hope he's our #5 option.

But we could definitely use you in the other thread. (caldwell vs. gaffney)
