Without teachers, we would be in the stadium not understanding what we are watching. They are absolutely underpaid.

If schools coompeted for the best teachersand taxpayers were willing to pony up what it would take to get the best of the best, teachers would make a boatload of money and our children would be the best educated in te world. Unfortunately check out your next town school budget vote, and realize that the taxpayers as a whole want to nickel and dime education.

100% agreed though we're going way OT. And, in the NY area at least, the town meetings are starting to get ugly. People were willing to support property tax increases to keep some of our suburban schools among the best in the country (along with many in the Boston area) as long as housing values were going up. But now that housing prices are down and seem headed for a long period of 3--5% growth, they are no longer as willing to support the tax increases.

I think when all is said and done, Cassel will be worth what KC invested in him. It's hard to be a good QB when your OL is friggin awful.

And when teachers and firefighter's can fill up stadiums with people willing to pay hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars to watch them perform, they will be paid similarly.

How much is a human life worth??? Think about that when you question how much a firefighter should be paid.

Without a good education, how will people earn the money to go to the stadiums to watch those players?

Economic worth has little to nothing to do with what you're talking about. "Worth" is a loaded term, creating disagreement where there probably isn't one. So let's go ahead and just leave it at that and get back on topic.
