If players need comments like this to play their hardest then that doesn't say much about their professionalism.

New England cornerback Ellis Hobbs said he was unaware of the controversy, and unwilling to believe his team had cheated.

"We put too many hours in as individuals and a team to have to go out and cheat," he said. "If it's true, obviously, we're in the wrong. But I'm standing behind my team, my coaches. I don't think we do that stuff."

That's not on LT's comment, Dr. Spin. That is about Camera-Gate. Back to my original question: Is Hobbs affecting Cry Me a Rivers?

We're glad. He amuses us also. Especially when we beat him in playoff games. He ran around and wept like a little girl.

He got a little naugthy when we said..."no super bowl for you"....

I think I can honestly say now that i would rather see the Colts succeed in the playoffs than the chargers if it came down to those 2 teams.

God i used to hate the colts so much and it hurts my stomach to say that.

I wonder why Phil Jackson made a living taking zingers at the opposing team and players in the press if it was so detrimental? I guess he liked to fire up the opposing team so it would make his team's job more difficult. How stupid of him.

Why do you keep comparing LT to Phil Jackson? Phil Jackson didn't shoot his mouth off, his statements were clearly calculated. Half the time his 'zingers' were directed at his own players. Why not compare LT to, oh gosh I don't know, the other NFL players who every week provide bulletin board material to the opposing team? Wouldn't that be a more apt comparison?

The idea that LT is involved in playing mind games is really perplexing to me. Why is so difficult to accept that maybe LT ran his mouth. He hates the Pats. He doesn't hide it. He's shown it before.

BB already trashes the other team in the locker room with his players, often making up stories that aren't true to try and motivate his guys. So what else is new? I don't see the benefit of these comments other than to derail their focus, because you can't prove you aren't cheating by going out and playing harder.

Please provide some proof of your allegations, anything...not just what you dream up on the chargers board. I understand that having marty and norv for coaches must be like masturbation without the payoff....but come on.

I'm sorry, but this is false. Plain and simple. It doesn't happen. I've seen enough ALL-ACCESS footage to know this doesn't happen. It may happen with other teams like the Jets and Chargers, but it doesn't with the Patriots.

Mind games don't need to be complicated. A comment that gets under your skin can cause you to spend time and energy focusing on what was said rather than focusing on game preparation and what you need to do to win the game.
