No wonder I hated John Tomase when he wrote for the Eagle Tribune. He got plenty of facts wrong then and is continuing to get them wrong NOW.

Please note where he said that Seymour held out and got 4.5 million this year. That is an incorrect statement. Seymour was scheduled to make well over 2.8 million and the Patriots gave him a 1 time raise to the 4.5 million level. Seymour also has escalators in his contract that could raise next year's contract to well over 7 or 8 million depending on what he reached.

Also, while everyone KNOWS that Seymour wants a contract that makes him one of the highest paid defensive ends in the league, he already has that. I am sure that the Patriots will give him another contract that will keep him well paid. Seymour just has to realize that the uncertainty of the CBA is making things interesting.
