    Interviewers really didn't know what to say or ask him..When Manning showed up, they had him try to ask Petty something, and he was speechless as well. Terrell Davis admitted before Petty came on the set that he didn't know who he was...i believe Faulk didn't know him as well.

    i've always liked his music and he seems like a gentleman. i appreciate him more after these interviews.

    He absolutely did. I loved him then and I love him now.

    My college roommate and I had huge pictures of Tom Petty (for me) and Mick Jagger (for her) on our bedroom walls.

    Could there be two uglier rockstars?

    They should have him play "The Waiting Is The Hardest Part" from about 2pm to 6pm that afternoon. It's gonna be worthy of it, if previous super sundays are anything to judge by...

    That was a horrible interview. I don't like Tom Petty's music at all but I was cracking up when TD asked him if he's ever made a song that in looking back he wondered why he had written it because it was so bad.
