Can this damaged team rise up from the ashes of injury and embarrassment and begin a six game killing spree into the playoff's?

I think they can. We simply HAVE to beat the Dolphins. Sure there a million reasons to forgive the 2008 Patriots for being over-matched. But is that good enough? Acceptable, even? No. Today this team faces destiny. Today they will hold the Patriots banner up and storm Miami. It's time for revenge and it's time to ignite the onslaught.

Thank the Jets, they gave our team just what they needed to face the rest of the season.

Are you guys excited about this game? Is your stomach just a little queazy with the unknown? I can't sleep, to be honest.

Chime in with your thoughts about the game, let's get the pep rally going.

This is my amusing, slightly disturbing contribution. Here's to continued war against hope in Miami!

I know that as fans, we definitely want the Pats to go in there and win. The question is, do the Pats have it in them? Do they have the ability to impose their will on an enemy field that they've struggled so many times in? That uncertainty has me anxious for the game. But it's definitely not a doom and gloom feel, or an overly confident feel. It's a "I can't want to see what happens" feel. I think all things being equal, the Dolphins have the advantage because they're playing at home. But I want to be pleasantly surprised with how the Pats respond. They should have won last week...they HAVE to win this week.

The Colts and Jets losses have shown the Pats, they can play and play well with anybody. They have improved greatly from the embarassing losses to the Phins and Bolts early in the season. Have they improved enough to hand the Phins some revenge today? I think they have. I think the comeback against the Jets proved to them, they are never out of a game. I think this game will prove to us, they are not out of the season.

I'm predicting a blowout win for our Pats today that sets the tone for the rest of the season/playoffs.

    Let's Go Patriots!!

Do a couple of embarassing losses = an embarassment of a team?? I think not..

The season is on the line today. I think it will be close, but I think our boys are too banged up to win this one. I put my money on Miami, but I hope I'm wrong.

This is going to be one of those "seems like forever" mornings. Yes, it's a huge game and yes, I think they're capable of going down there and making a BIG statement. I haven't looked forward to a game like this, where the outcome is so crucial, in a very long time (certain post season games excluded). As a public service announcement for those watching on Sunday Ticket, the game will be on channel 706-1.

Thanks for sharing Mr. Rally Buzzkiller..

Well said. This team was given up for dead when Brady went down, let alone having to absorb the loss of Harrison and AD. Instead they have been competitive enough in transition to be 6-4 with two FG margin losses to Indy and the NYJ. Miami embarassed the coaching staff and defense in week 4. Lots of teams who win Superbowls suffer a game like that in a championship season, as I recall...

Though I agree that the losses to the Colts and Jets are gut wrenching, I am amazed that we didn't collapse as we did when Harrison was out two seasons ago and made adequate adjustments following AT's loss right before the Jets game.

Hats off to our coaches and players for keeping us in contention without having some of our main starters!! :youtheman:

So, banged up or not, with or without starters, I am rooting for us to wreak havoc today.

    GO PATS!!!!

They won't. It's probably the same idiot that gave me a negative rep for being a "dumb racist" in the political forum for thinking that it's ridiculous to assume Obama is from Kenya.

And go Pats! This will not be a blow out win by any stretch of the imagination. It rarely is against the Dolphins. But I think we can pull this one out. Let the march to the playoffs begin.

The more I watch the Patriots in this century, the more I am convinced they are football's version of the Borg. They just reach out and absorb players and fit them into the system. They are like the terminator. They take hits, pick themselves up and keep on coming at you.

Even in the darkest times of a game, far behind the score, with time waxing towards it's endpoint, I have yet to see them give up, stop hitting, stop trying to claw their way back.

The Patriots. The Borg. 60 minutes of in-your-face football.

    BRING IT ON!

Yes sir. It's time to hit the guppies in the mouth. This team isn't dead, all the teams sleeping on them don't understand something simple. Until the day Belichick's pulse stops beating, this team is a threat to beat anyone, anyday.

Thanks for the spirit. Hope it's contagious down to Miami. But, a word of advice as you get going this morning...lay off the coffee! Maybe some nice herbal tea or straight to a brewski...

This is as good a time as any to say this.

I am really proud of our guys, of how they've dealt with this year's adversity, of Matt hanging tough against all the ignorant criticism during his first few games, of cobbling together a running game after all the injuries...of more things than I could enumerate here and still have anybody reading this post.

Sure, most of us know enough about the game to find plenty of things to criticize, from special teams play to lapses on D and even to some boneheaded moments by God Belichick.

But, the bottom line is that at no time, in no game, has this team or the coaching staff, even for a moment, ever seemed to have "mailed it in," but instead took fully armed and highly motivated Colts and Jets teams to the last drive of the game without many of its best weapons.

Wherever we are after today's game, whether we're getting psyched to run the table and maybe win the Division or we're starting to think about the Draft, Free Agency and next season, I'm going to feel very good about this team and be very optimistic about the next couple of years.
