Just a quick announcement...The Tobin Bridge in Boston has been closed tonight because of lack of free agencies signings by the Patriots and the fact that so many of the teams free agents have signed contracts with other clubs. The announcement came in the wake of WIllie McGinest's signing with Cleveland this afternoon. That follows the signings of Chatham, (NYJ), Givens (Tenn), Fauroa (Wash) and Davis (Buff) as well as the possible departure of Ashworth, Vinatieri, Neal and Dwight. Some of the Patriots front office have been manning the phones, while others have been traveling in the Sunshine State of Florida. The last time the Bridge was closed like this was following the red Sox loss to the Yankees in October of 2004. CoachB when rteached about it basically had no comment..but added, "It is what it is..." Although
he later claimed that Patriot fans had more sense than to act as lemmings like that...that more patience was needed. The Tobin Bridge has been the place where most of Boston suicide jumpers have used..the most notable Charles Stuart.

You stole the Tobin Bridge idea from my other post.... :D

What's the bridge that goes to Chelsea? I also hated that bridge. Bridges down here in SW Florida generally bite also. Special now, during snow-birdy season.. :rocker:

No...for years that has been the gag line for Red Sox fans..when they folded and things went wrong...seems like so many fans are EXACTLY where those Red Sox fans were...

Governor Romney has also announced that should Adam Vinitieri sign with a new team, he will also be ordering the immediate closures of the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges on Cape Cod.

Lol
